When the aircrafts are being indigenously produced and the economy is strong, as is the case with India, this goal is easily achievable.I see. I found the article btw.

if an army lacks enough specialized vehicles for troop assistance their only option its to prepare ahead of time, this can have issues like their logistics and troops movement being exposed to the enemy.
it does, kashmir on their side is just as moutainous as ours, a big part of the so-called strategy involves , pak army retreating ( read fleeing) westward towards valleys in kpk and northern Balochistan, which I don't know how feasible is currently given TTP and Afghan taliban, but even if we assume these groups don't cause any issue, there logistics problem only gets worse. But Pak is a narrow country. They don't need much time to be at the frontline on an emergency basis. But if it's from say Quetta to Karachi or Lahore, then it's a problem.
once Tejas deliveries begin in full swing (give it a year) the conversation will shift from squadron shortages to whether a strength of 45 squadrons will be enough or if more are needed.
India behaves strangely sometimes that the West is not used to seeing. For example, a gora friend of mine told me that he is confused why the IAF would just bomb the runway but not the PAF’s parked air assets. The expectation in the west is that if you are going to war, take out the more expensive assets of an already poor country. They do not understand this IAF doctrine of just showing capability and then retreating. That is a weird concept for them. Hence all the unbelievability around IAF’s dominance. Indian babus come from the Soviet Union model. Both are massively bad at PR and general communications. They say things that do not appeal to the rest of the world much. Right now the world is distracted by what Trump is doing. It was perfect for Indian armed forces to destroy several expensive porki assets yet we did not do so. No one understands this strategy of the government trying to overemphasize “being fair” and “not targeting Paki military assets”. When going to war, you precisely target enemy assets that too when we have been shouting that Porki government is behind all this. And then we do something like we wont take out the porki government’s assets. No one understand this. No one.
This is why many western sources think that India has something to hide. These excessive claims about we controlled the escalation ladder, very precise not to hit military targets, we shared evidence etc is actually making India look weak as the west including strong allies like France, Russia, Israel do not understand any of the things we say. To them it all looks like India is just putting on a show and not serious about subduing its enemies. That and not calling out Russians. That is why pretty muted response from everywhere including from Russia. India is expected to win these battles, being the superior power. What the world wants to know is whether India has the capability to enforce peace in its own backyard. They are looking at the big picture.I was crying hoarse when we stopped
There were many transports and other ancillary craft visibly seen in the sat images. We did not have to take out well protected jets. We could have taken out several tankers, AWACS, generals’ transport jets, helis etc. Why are we so reluctant to take out Porki assets or salami slice and take territory? No one knows and no one understands. As a superior power, we are expected to do all that. China would exactly do that to India, not talk of escalation ladder, diplomatic evidence etc.Aircraft’s are well hidden in underground pens
When the AWACS, fighter jets, drones, and command-and-control systems are all indigenously made, the entire ecosystem functions as a unified, integrated force. It continuously learns, evolves, and gets upgraded over time. Indigenous development offers multiple strategic and operational advantages.More are needed definetly, aside from squadrons, the support platforms like AWACS, ELINT & Refuellers also

For benchamarking, our own version of reverse engineering without calling it as reverse engineering. Basically pahle ishtemal karo phir vishwas karo (and then based on requirement, mass produce it).Why India is wasting so much money on 31 US made Predator drones? It will not be useful against China,Pakistan. We are not going to use them on Maoists either. We should use this money to purchase additional air launchedmissile and loitering bombs.
The crazy part is IAF operational command almost repeat the swift retard blunder by not conducting SEAD operations before they struck those terror bases on 7th may , it was the AD boys that handle the situation when paki jets tried to bomb our positions around jammu and northern punjab.
Thankfully they came to their senses and conducted that drone attack next day, then fucked their air bases in the coming days, India needs to fundamentally change the way we conduct these, we need to understand that pak army = pak terror orgs, attacking a terror base is basically attacking an pak army position as far as doctrine of pak army is concerned, its us who try to play nice.

Nothing to do with the Indo Pak conflict yet everything to do with the forthcoming Indo China conflict.
In my humble opinion, Indian Air Force should have around 10K - 15K aircrafts, given the geopolitical challenges India faces. This can only be achieved through domestic production.I remember reading somewhere the goal has shifted to 60 or something is it true? I don't exactly remember the content of the article.
Bangladesh is not a landlocked nation. Its southern border is on the Bay of Bengal, a part of the Indian Ocean, giving it access to the sea. There's nothing within Bangladesh's capacity that they can use against India. Doesn't matter how many shits they get. It's a landlocked deprived nation that couldn't even afford to run without bailouts, let alone having jets to counter India.
