I saw this coming. If this deal happens, license the airframe, electromechanical controls and engines. Radar, avionics, cockpit, interface, sensors, self protection suite, weapons must be Indian. This deal might be good for the indigenous Su-30 upgrade package, since a more powerful engine will be available.

Su30 and MKI are the backbone of IAF despite what was in the contract.

The rationale has always been that we need su-57 as stop gaps to sem-2-sem j35 and there is always the threat of caatsa. Dolund knows leaderji will fold so he might go ahead with it as threat.
