GOI Press Conferences are not for 24*7 tuned in social media junkies. Fact that people on DFB already knew what was told in Press Conference is immaterial. The target audience is not people like us who have nothing better to do in their lives and keep hitting F5 every 30 seconds

Press Conference is to formally announce to wider audience both domestic & international what happened in last few hours. Almost all such press conferences are supposed to be boring, routing , providing matter of fact information.

We having false expectation is our problem, not theirs

Behind the scenes, there's civil defense readiness, territorial army activation and many more.

You are wrong about Territorial Army notification. It is routine exercise for financial sanctions. This notification is issued every 3 year. It is not extraordinary and doesn't mean anything more unless we really see a call to action.

Its seems we are making same mistake like 2019....when PAF tried to target our forward bases..we didn't gave strong reply as our argument was that strike failed.....so they again tried the same in 2025 and by looking at the MEA PC...it is almost clear we are doing the same mistake again...now baxtan will slow down their attacks killing 1-2 soldiers every month...this loop will continue,,,,because we are ignorant.

I don't understand this stance of govt of not relaying some selective information. They should tell the public about successes while hiding losses. Information about successes keep the public engaged and their morale high. This complete radio silence is uncalled for. Broadcasting successes also reduces enemy morale and counters their propaganda everywhere.

I hope that International travellors are aware about dangers in Pakistani territory. Their state is abdicating responsibility of securing the lives of the civilians. It is not surprising but atleast now the international travellors should consider the threat is real and they will be thrown in the fire by the pakistanis. Will the international community condemn the pakistan for this dereliction of duty.

Still India should issue international travel advisory cautioning international travellors about danger lurking in pakistani space.

We should seriously contemplate this possibility. Pakistani's don't care about lives of civilians and innocent.

What I understood from the PC:

1. India has done it's part, we won't take any more offensive actions, unless Pakistan does anything stupid.

2. In, case Pakistan does attack and escalate from here, India will not consider any civilian airborne object as a hindrance while attacking as a retaliation. Including any Turkish supply cargo plane.

3. All in All the ball is in Pakistan's court, since India has done enough damage and the Indian mission objective is met.

P.S: GoI is knows Pakistan won't stop at this. It needs a substantial.face saver from its public. Also Sharif brother needs resistance against PTI. Thats why you will see India is fully preparing itself. Baba kalyani was not called up just for a coffee session.

• Took out major terror targets and sponsors
• Took out an HQ-9 battery
• Took out an F 16 and 2 x JF 17 last night
• Possibly another Mirage V and JF 17 on 7th May 2025
• Hit deep into the heart of their country

So far they have

• 1 probable Rafale kill, maybe 1 more Mig 29 kill
• 500 FPV drones sent across the border

Especially if/when they start consistently fielding questions in these meetings - someone very quick and sharp will be needed.

He is the foreign secretary. They aren't going to replace him for a slight lacuna in his public speaking skills. India is following is own due procedure in choosing who leads the press conference, can't just change rules willy-nilly each time.

Please don't joke bhaisahab. FPV drones in Bhatinda? How far do you think these drones can go?
And they find out position and went back so that when they return next day, we'll have our AD sitting in that exact same position? Shoot and scoot doesn't just apply to howitzers and ATGM teams, you know? AD units are time critical targets.

Only two valuable takeaways from this briefing for me:
1. We destroyed their one more AD unit. So, total two AD units are confirmed destroyed.
2. Pakis threw a civilian airforce between crossfire. Very bad press for pakis.

But it was also full of disappointment:
1. What material losses did pakistan suffer?
1. What material losses we suffered?
Maybe the govt. is being mum on these two questions as they should be answered together and situation is evolving. So, it is better to keep it shut.

But i don't get why the FS was dismissive of retaliation against Paki attack? Why don't we hit them back?
