Operation Sindoor

I don't understand this stance of govt of not relaying some selective information. They should tell the public about successes while hiding losses. Information about successes keep the public engaged and their morale high. This complete radio silence is uncalled for.
This is not an IPL match. They are not supposed to provide a live commentary or conduct pre/post match press conferences, are they? Fog of war is a thing.

Pakis sent a drone-swarm of 500 camera FPVs across the border in all sectors to do nothing but record positions of Indian air-defence, so they could be targeted. They came, filmed, and left. They will be hit in the coming hours/days.

Meanwhile at home India Inc., and Uncle Sam have told Modi "you've had your fun, time to end this."

This skirmish will end with pakis having a tactical upper hand.
Dear member
All militaries already know locations of each other radar systems

And Sams

There are dedicated departments each militaries to record each other military infrastructure

It's one of primary job Military intelligence agencies

No expected this kind of noob analysis from you.

I don't know how you assume upperd hand
In this .

You think

South BLOCK are bunch of amateurs

@Butter Chicken the clip above means that we are NOT going towards deescalation.
The aboveSeems like de escalation?

No major response seems to be coming
I should have included his name in the original comment. I'm talking about Vikram Misri (think that's his name) who shows up with the two servicewomen to do the mini-briefings every day. Especially if/when they start consistently fielding questions in these meetings - someone very quick and sharp will be needed.
He is the foreign secretary. They aren't going to replace him for a slight lacuna in his public speaking skills. India is following is own due procedure in choosing who leads the press conference, can't just change rules willy-nilly each time.

Please don't joke bhaisahab. FPV drones in Bhatinda? How far do you think these drones can go?
And they find out position and went back so that when they return next day, we'll have our AD sitting in that exact same position? Shoot and scoot doesn't just apply to howitzers and ATGM teams, you know? AD units are time critical targets.

Only two valuable takeaways from this briefing for me:
1. We destroyed their one more AD unit. So, total two AD units are confirmed destroyed.
2. Pakis threw a civilian airforce between crossfire. Very bad press for pakis.

But it was also full of disappointment:
1. What material losses did pakistan suffer?
1. What material losses we suffered?
Maybe the govt. is being mum on these two questions as they should be answered together and situation is evolving. So, it is better to keep it shut.

But i don't get why the FS was dismissive of retaliation against Paki attack? Why don't we hit them back?

You are wrong about Territorial Army notification. It is routine exercise for financial sanctions. This notification is issued every 3 year. It is not extraordinary and doesn't mean anything more unless we really see a call to action.
Well why civil drills then? Aiims telling they are ready for any mass casuality events. Every city is on high alert. In fact, instead of decreasing it's increasing.

When was the last time this happened? Even in far off places, trains are shipping air defence weapons to protect industrial sites.

This is the beginning.

Last night was a probing attack. Today or tomorrow, the real attack might come. So I feel we shouldn't be baited to do what Paki wants.

Pakistan has no honour, and it has proved the same multiple times. Yet we want to play by the rules, i really don't know why.
Lets just accept our limitations. There is a reason this country was invaded by foreign invaders. If you don't even have the guts to use the word ''disproportionate' then might as well accept your place in the global hierarchy and move on! And don' you think pushing the caste census issue in between all this was not politically well calculated by Modi. Its all about votes. It is all about POWER. My two cents.

I think the biggest story nobody is paying attention to is that India Inc wants a rapid de-escalation, even if it means making idiotic concessions to pakis.

Those press releases by RIL and Adani yesterday weren't meant to say "we are supporting the war effort," they were meant to serve as cover for any future accusations that they scuttled India's war efforts.

Many manufacturers have been offered discounts by their Chinese suppliers to discourage GoI from continuing on the warpath.

Stop Blackpilling.

I don't think its over. The Pakis have not hit anything major, while their bund blasting was public. I trust in their Inbred IQ. Rajnath had a meeting with the chiefs and next steps were probably discussed.

If things stop here it will be a LOST OPPORTUNITY for us, but a certified LOSS for them.

The fact that they attempted to hit military installations and place of religious significance should be enough justification for a wider response.

I don't understand the rationale of waiting for one attack to slip and cause damage to actually respond. What if it's a temple? What if hundreds get hurt?

Is it worth waiting taking such a hit to keep your image of a good boy for the western world?

We backed off in 2019 claiming they just hit an empty field, so it's ok. It's actually us that's to be blamed for Porkies same to same mentality. How is ours any different?

None of us know what GoI has planned and we won't till it happens. However, the track record doesn't suggest we want to escalate beyond a point and certainly not to the level where boundaries change.

The Indian Army stated in a press conference that Pakistan used commercial flights (carrying general passengers or civilians) as a shield during the drone attack last night, putting innocent lives at risk. Colonel Qureshi presented a photo showing a commercial flight at the time, further strengthening India's allegations.

Who said anything about replacing him from his position? But that doesn't mean he has to be the face of India's PR/Narrative Setting. "Rules" - if such rules even exist - are there to be broken, particularly in extreme circumstances. If they could identify appropriate talent, there would be nothing strange or wrong about making him/her the face. Some people are meant to be public faces, some are meant to make things happen quietly in the backroom. Different strengths and weaknesses, Horses for Courses.

It is not surprising but atleast now the international travellors should consider the threat is real and they will be thrown in the fire by the pakistanis
Pak flights from lahore to other countries are significantly expensive compared to reverse, pigs are flying

1. India has done it's part, we won't take any more offensive actions, unless Pakistan does anything stupid.
Surly pak does not think they have avenged right, we hit lahore and karachi. What did they do? hit some border areas. We can rub their noses in shit for rest of their miserable life.

2019 vibes again....things will calm down now....
This skirmish will end with pakis having a tactical upper hand.
Cease your bhosdapilling.

Remember IWT is gone, and this is still bigger than all the attacks we did.

This is not an IPL match. They are not supposed to provide a live commentary or conduct pre/post match press conferences, are they? Fog of war is a thing.
Shorts and reels generation, wants instant gratification.

So nothing really unknown. Why are people surprised that Porkies his their drones behind civilian air traffic. That's literally what every jehadi piece of shit nation/group does in a different context.

I don't think we need these daily pressers unless there is something that needs to be explained that a video/photo along with a statement doesn't convey.
They have put their own civilians at highly Risk.

What a zombie kom! Playing Hamas.
