Igla-S is used by infantry. It is infantry's self defense weapon, in case, IACCS fails to intercept the ingress. This is the last line of defense. We did not want to take any chances, this time around. This is a very good thinking. You never want to leave anything to chance in war.

India's HDI is 0.685 now. Should be 0.7 in a couple of years which is HIGH HDI. 0.7 and 3rd largest economy should come at the same time. India gained 5 ranks.

Pak is 0.544, a loss of 5 ranks.

In 25 years, Pak won't even be where India is now while India will be a lower end fist world country.

Taking out paki assets means only the loss of those assets while other surviving assets can still take off. Taking out the runway means that the entire base is rendered useless, a total softkill. Runway hits are game changers because they deny the planes the ability to take off. They essentially become paperweights or hangar queens.

The range hardly matters, engaging target from 300km is not remotely possible no radar is that powerful.
The engagement probably happened around 50km, either the pl15 had better electronics or rafale was just unable to deploy countermeasures in time, might be due to less experience on the platform

Yeah in our case we are NOT only the richer neighbour but also militarily more powerful.

Remember we have a huge population advantage vs Pak. So HDI differences act as a multiplier.

Terrain is a great equalizer. Look at the map of the mountainous DMZ. Numbers ain't gonna matter that much when the terrain works as funneling points.

numbers still matter when you funnel.
terrain works both ways -just like it makes NoKo movements difficult, it ALSO makes SoKo precision-bombing nearly impossible.
because you CANNOT precision-bomb artillery positioned well in ridges and hill-lines- because IF its posistioned well, it means you have error range of literally 1-2 metres and if you miss, you either hit the hill or the hill behind.
Trust me on one thing because all SoKo people do military service and have some face2face interactions with NoKo military and there's plenty of SoKo immigrants to Canada- NONE of them underestimate NoKo' ability to pulverize SoKo without Nook threat from Uncle sam.

PS: the DMZ is the easiest terran- nearly flat...around Incheon-Seoul. the paju-kaesong axis is flat.
