I completely shares your sentiment. They are sinking ship and are trying to gain and prop up legitimacy by requesting India into a war.

I think a short war is very likely if we give them a spectacular display. They are craving for it. We don't need to do that.

What i think we should do is help them in sinking and accelerate their sinking by putting a drag weight on them. My proposal is to do what pakistanis do regularly. That is break ceasefire. We should pummel them with artillery. We should open different fronts and rotate between them. Our shelling should be everyday and year around. In between we throw some two or three stray short range missiles. Also, we should also creep our boundaries forward.

A long low intensity shell barrage favors us. It limits the hostile actors response too. Let us cook these frogs slowly.

This is something that I favor as well. Basically what Russia has been doing in the Donbass regions since 2014. Violate the ceasefire, start shelling PoK border towns. Keep that place on a slow boil.

We play to our strengths which is artillery and missiles. Terminate the IW treaty as well. We control the escalation ladder this way.

CDS is incharge of staffing planning and procurement pipeline synchronization between services. CDS does not have a role in ops.
ops are handled by DGMO equivalent ranks in respective services, supported by ministries where there is civil military cooperation needed.

I think we ought to seriously curate a thread delineating centre state powers & responsibilities , separation of executive legislature & judiciary with their respective powers & how a central cabinet is run among many other related topics like civil military relationship in India & other democracies etc .
