Pahalgam Islamic Terror Attack

I strongly take offence to the term "Dhoti Shivering". People in Dhoti have been brave. It is the semi-educated westernized gandus like Nehru who do not have core Indian values have been Pant/Kurta shivering.
funny thing is, dhoti wearing and sari wearing has the same threat in bengali language :
"kuchki te jodi dhuti/shari badhi tahole tor ak din ki amar ak din "
( If you force me to tuck my dhoti/sari into my front pleat, then its either your last day or mine)

Terrain may not allow to do it in one go like Bangladesh. But India can take step by step approach. Pushing the boarder slowly like Russia did with Ukraine.
Costly in lives. Russia plods forwards on the ground but gains little territory for a large number of soldiers lost. 1,000 or more casualties a day but many more years needed to occupy the rest of Ukraine.

Dark blue on the linked map shows Russian territorial gains in the last year or so

A proactive nation would have wargamed the shit out of attacks like these after Pulwama. Bakis were able to launch a counter offensive within 24 hours. It is not within the realms of possibility for military planners. Taking your sweet time is a double edged sword. Yes you get more time to prep but so does your enemy to dig in.
The best plans don't survive first contact with the enemy. Haven't you heard this countless times from all sorts of veterans.

War games are just that. Games! They help train your mind on how to act but they have no credence in real world applicability. Every incident has to be treated by its own merit and warrants a customized response not a canned answer.

Yes, the enemy digs in better but apparently they have been planning it for a while now and were prepared for our response. We are the ones caught off guard so let's not walk into their trap.

Think , plan and then only act. Any other way is being foolhardy.

But act we must - within days and not weeks, let there be no doubt on this.

And then what… Hashtag bring back abhinandan?

Better let the Army handle it.

The moment a fighter jet is shot the emotional drama will start and like the last time the whole fight will get over and celebrate the home coming of a pilot.
No let them be martyrs
Go all out on those pigs

Airforce is not only about fighter planes we have missiles operated by IAF. One misslie like in mia chunnu exhibit will wreak havoc also we have rafales no need to cross LoC/ IB to hit pork installations

We can only wish that something like this happens but I am not very hopeful
Maulana mudi has let us all down
It's happening. Need not be overt.unkbown gunmen. Baluch and Afghan pounding paki forces daily. They have died in 1000s . Pak economy crumbling.

So strategy is with very less damage we need to send msg. Anyways now it will be overt and visible retaliation that porkies won't be able to dent. They only live on propoganda. They will not be able to do much now. See. Do not expect immediate response. It might be multiple strikes also so that we have min damage and do when they do not expect

I once met a Paki retired major on a cruise. He talked of Longewala. Said how the pakis had war gamed for many many hours at batallion level, on how to cross the sandy thar desert with their tanks and came to conclusion that weight reduction was needed PLUS extra barrel of fuel.
So the solution was 'dismont themachine gun and leave the gunner behind'. They wargamed the scenarios of this, which is why they made combined infantry-tank attack, so the infantry nearby can cover for lack of machine gun turrets on tanks.

What they didnt game or couldnt game because it didnt occur to them - is what happens when fuel tank strapped to tank is set ablaze - the acrid smoke of burning diesel chokes the lungs and eyes of the infantry nearby, forcing them to pull back and now, there is no machine gun turret, meaning we can open hatch, drop a grenade, close hatch and kill a tank like david slays goliath.

Says the paki commander who was courtmarshalled for longewalla werent actually courtmarshalled for the battle itself, but failing to account for this reality in war gaming mode.

Tells you all you need to know about how reliable war-gaming is in real combat.

How many of you want a Nazi style execution of everyone involved? It should like this. They are kidnapped. Shot in back of the head after being forced to strip and recite kalma.
