Usually I make it a point to avoid this power broker moonlighting as a journalist but this popped up last night in my screen .

The panelists seem interesting with more interesting things to say especially Tavleen Singh who went so far as to advocate the assassination of Fauji Foundation Generals but by far the most interesting panelist was ex Ambassador Vivek Katju who kept insisting he warned the recent Jabar train massacre in Balochistan was directly blamed on India by Fauji Foundation in language never used before repeatedly referring to a news article he penned for The Indian Express.

He asks why the Indian foreign ministry didn't take cognizance of this development taking our close friends & allies especially in the west & Gulf Arab states into confidence assuring them we weren't behind this but if Paxtan uses this as a pretext for retaliation , they'd pay a heavy price.

He then went on to further lament a lack of strategic thinking & culture within us as a people comparing our responses in such situations to you know who in similar situations. Makes one wonder what exactly was he doing all these years in the foreign ministry then.

Or are we to understand that there are a multiplicity of views there too where the babooos who do indeed take the initiative are usually faced with a dhoti class who's impervious & impenetrable to sense & logic (concerned with only their constituency & re election apart from obviously how can the dhotis palm be greased better ), who then lose whatever interest they have in the said subject & become essentially another cog in the wheel.

This is what is referred to a classic case of hypocrisy. It's not as if this bastard & others of his ilk including that pimp Kutta are unaware of the nature of the beast , it's their constant underplaying of this nature of the beast to disarm the ordinary reader who 99/100 times is an ordinary middle class Hindu till they can do it no more is what I find infuriating. At least this one had the decency to be candid so what if it's only an exception before he goes back to his original persona .

Are we to understand it took a massacre of innocent tourists after inspecting their ID cards , checking for their foreskin , getting them to recite the Kalma before shooting 35 of them taunting the survivors to convey the message to Modi with body cams on their person to understand the basic truth which in spite of being in the business for 4 + decades he couldn't , even after hearing the speech of the Islamist which he & his staff promptly set off to whitewash ?

But yes, I think he is try to send message to his NPCs to throw the Pakistani Military under the bus especially after Muneer statement. It is significant event. They are trying to extract muslim angle away and pin the blame on Pakistani Military. Still doing Al Taqiya. But their is now enough evidence to the contrary.

I am sensing they want a war. It is the only option left for them to do just another day Coupta wrote an article about how stale the opposition is. He pined for something and war is exactly not what he expected but it can still be something for pappu and his family.

this time there is no strategic goal to pursue. it's a political goal of impressing upon paki establishment to mend their ways and leave us alone, which can't be achieved militarily.

Completely agree, but unfortunately most of our countrymen will cry if we they take even a single hostage. This is what happens in a country which hasn't seen war in some time. And the govt (any govt) will always bow down to the emotions and sentiments of the majority.

This isn't a web series or a movie wherein action happens overnight, get out of that mindset. This is fucking real life. Things will happen at their own pace BUT it will happen. The response to Uri and Pulwama had a waiting period of about 2 weeks, not that this time it will have the same timeframe, but it definitely won't happen in a day or two. The incident just happened about 72 hrs ago ffs, have some effing patience. The only thing worse than no action is unplanned action. It takes days to move our assets into place, let it happen.

If you are the same abingdonboy as DFI, you would know that we actually did an unofficial blockade back in 19 and warned all international ships to stay off the pak coast. It had been discussed on DFI too. I know this because I had posted that news.
