I don't either. Just day-dreaming. Although I can guarantee that taking over Pakistan's territory has been war-gamed in the last 48 hours in India. And although we aren't taking over Bangladesh, India should certainly make sure that whoever comes to power long-term is smart enough to prioritise India's interests. A white wash of the Pakis should ensure that.

As of now, from my analysis, India has made a soft declaration of War and will be carrying out kinetic action against terrorist installations in PoK by pushing land forces into PoK in large strike packages and airstrikes on terrorist installations in mainland Pakistan (We can now maintain much greater stand off disntances for long range precision strike capabilities with Rafale and SCALP).
This, coupled with the choking of the rivers over the next week, will force Pakistan to launch a military campaign. But SSBNs close to Pakistan's coastline would bring down the chances of a full-fledged retaliation from Pakistan.

With regards to your first concern, I share it too. But this time, the public emotion is running higher than before. Moreover, India will be able to draw international support to manage the economic ramifications of a War.
Your second concern would be generally true, but in the current geopolitical scenario, China doesn't want to sour relations with India in the wake of Trump's tariff War.

They are looking to emerge as the global superpower and a fight will India, no matter how costly for us, will leave them with a broken bloody nose as well. And poof goes all dreams of replacing USA.

If people are worried about our economy tanking in the aftermath of this porki war, what do you think will happen to China's economy after a war with India?

Obviously the emotions are high right now. The question is will it sustain in the case of a sustained conflict.

Let's be real, for any US support, we will need to make concessions in the trade deal. China has every incentive to try and pressureize us for preventing trade deal with the US. The only tool they really have is threat of taking advantage of us being involved in a conflict on the western front.

No one knows for certain, my point is merely it's prudent to be aware and prepared.

I would largely agree in case our attention was solely focused on China. If we go for an actual invasion of PoK, that will not be the case.

It will be cost benefit analysis of how much China will need to lose to gain more Indian territory.

The question is not of cost to China, its of the potential cost of us.

Are we ok potentially losing more land in the east to gain PoK back?

What's our plan in case China does try mischief while we are focused on Porkland?

Do we have enough for both fronts?
