Low passes by fighter jets are reserved for air shows, actual evasion and combat missions due to its high risk to reward ration. A single wire hanging off of a pole or a polythene trashbag flying into the intake in somewhat windy conditions could mean a total write off for the airframe. And why wouldn't we?
I can't see any reason for it other than what the members here already said regarding it, i.e a morale booster/psy ops.
I would much rather our forces don't engage in it (they don't seem to do that anyways).
Who knows, maybe our guys are locking their jets from across the border just to fuck with them. That'd be some uncharacteristic brinkmanship.
