Yeah but it would leave us vulnerable vis a vis Chinese.

Even if pakis are destroyed, we would have to immediately do something or else Chinese might actually go for invasion if they find us vulnerable.

But we must go for conflict with pakis. Chinese won't go for a air conflict in the mountains. We have to take that risk.
The loss of Su-30MKIs can be easily managed, as they are manufactured in India. As for the Jaguars and MiG-21s, they are due to be replaced by the Tejas Mk1A regardless.

If a major strike is being planned, it would take at least a month. Even the U.S. military, with its extensive logistical capabilities, would require months of preparation to launch an attack—even against a force like Hamas.
Because I am not planning for optics this time. I am planning for impact. Bigger the impact i am planning, the more time I need (upto an extent, there is no infinite impact in infinite time but i will take time that maximises my impact).

Sometimes here in the forum, a lot of us, including me, get bored of waiting for the kinetics. But if we think about it, is just striking Pak our purpose? I mean we can send missiles, fly jets, move infantry, and start artillery pounding in one hour. But the purpose is not just to strike.

The purpose is to win. If i go unplanned, put India at a bit disadvantage: this is the biggest disservice I can do to the nation. If I go planned knowing:
a. My clear objectives,
b. Where do I fight, how do I win, and
c. How my winning helps achieve my objectives

In that case, i will achieve better outcomes.

Something like Balakot is what Pak wants. So that they can fly their jets for an hour, fire a few missiles, and claim victory. Why do I give them that?

When I am planning, I will play on my strengths. My strength is that I can take Pak down in a prolonged fight. And only a slightly prolonged battle, with major losses to war fighting ability of Pak army, can help me achieve my objective of creating deterrence. I see some pundits talking we would do calibrated response below nuclear threshold. That is nonsense, everything conventional is below nuclear threshold.

India is not a serious country, our politicians have no skin in the game they suck money from impoverished population of this country like a leach with black hole in its stomach, their progenies are often settled abroad they just don't care what happens to this country they can stoop to any level to get votes they are not even loyal their own voter base this country is doomed, get out of here while you can.

1) Modi has no children or wife. His only goal is keeping India united, with a preference for all the native religions (Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Tribal) and a Sanatana culture with all its music, dance, clothing, food etc... He did not even try to use government funds to move his financially poor ex-cleaner mother into a bigger home.

2) Murmu lost her 2 sons and husband in tragedies. Her 1 daughter works in an Indian bank.

3) Shah has 1 child who resides in India.

4) Yogi has no children or wife.

5) Rajnath Singh has 3 children, all living in India.

6) Dhankar has 1 child living in India (though it seems like she studied abroad).

Now compare this to Congress's top leaders and their foreign connections.

Or to corrupt Lalu Yadav's 9 children family in UP. Or to Stalin's dynastic family in TN. Or to Banerjee letting in millions of illegal Bangladeshis into WB, probably the most damaging event in the history of India post 1947.

I think one thing we are discounting here is our service chiefs. We only talk of Modi. But kinetic decisions- what kind, when - all will be taken by our service chiefs. Our service chiefs have been given free hand. I doubt service chiefs will plan for very limited impact.

If I were one of the service chiefs, I was waiting for this moment for last 40 years. I am highly competent. I know my and adversaries’ capabilities very well. And I have been trained to do this all my life. I know that this is my chance to register myself in the annals of history.

I would not let this chance slip away.

this guts and glory thing works at a personal level, not at a institutional level. this cannot be an expectation that can be forcefully imposed on service chiefs.

at institutional level, based on what forces were focussing on since the aftermath of balakot strikes. looking at the steps taken and procurements, one can argue their top most priority/focus continues to be conventional warfare. counter terrorism continues to be viewed thru the lense of conventional military warfare.

in this kind of situations, these sort of strategies will get tested.

this is the dilemma that concept of usage of terrorism( for political purposes against other sovereign countries) exploits not just in india but across the world.

The article you link says the following right at the top:

"

Of the 56 ministers in Modi council, 12 have sent their children to foreign varsities.

"

That is 21%.

What’s wrong with that, one should get knowledge from anywhere. Talha hola WA’s the place where people from everywhere use to come.
Only thing is where they invest their knowledge and skills. I think it’s good to get knowledge and skills from overseas that will help us get to where we want to be.

While checking a few key locations, I stumbled upon this building structure. It looks like a nuclear launch facility with bunkers. The building design seems to accommodate large vents. There is also a circular area camouflaged with a layer (if you zoom in). Strangely, the area is at the top of this township in a shallow valley having two hospitals (one made by PAF), a cadet college, a bank, a godown and a circular road which appear to be made before the structure. The township is a tourist place, Fort Monroe. A HUMNIT is required to confirm a few other key points.

Guess what, this photo released earlier would have given big arousal to sick Hindus and triggered them to write eulogies on how two professional armies have such a brotherly relationship when working outside.
