After having industrial China (with 36% of the world’s industrial output) and religious fanatics as neighbors—who would skin us alive if given the chance—how could these so-called DPSUs let the country down like this? They missed the Dhanush delivery deadline . They never meet their production targets. For God’s sake, this is a matter of national defense! How are the upper echelons of power tolerating such incompetence? My blood is boiling. If government doesn’t sort out this nonsense after phalgam terror attack then lord hanuman save us……

I’ve heard that Pakistan is inviting the Chinese military into the country to counter India’s preparations for war.
They have requested China to send its tanks, artillery, and troops into Pakistan.
Pakistani military is no match for India, even on its own territory, and I don’t believe even the Chinese will be able to help them deter an Indian invasion.

India is not a serious country, our politicians have no skin in the game they suck money from impoverished population of this country like a leach with black hole in its stomach, their progenies are often settled abroad they just don't care what happens to this country they can stoop to any level to get votes they are not even loyal their own voter base this country is doomed, get out of here while you can.

it's been 11 days since the attack, and so much discussion on the topic both domestically and in foreign lands. i haven't seen or listened to even once someone listing out the efforts made by GoI to build global consensus against terrorism. folks sitting outside the country may not be inclined or know about this, but exfarts sitting in the country don't seem to have mentioned this.

if our own exfarts do not know about efforts made by GoI since 2014, what's the point even.

there is a case to be made here, that GoI/Modi govt since 2014 has spent a large capital of diplomatic efforts on this issue, and the world is not interested in solving this issue, limiting the diplomatic options for GoI to rely on.

- number of bilateral and multilateral diplomatic statements that mention terrorism
- efforts made by GoI to strengthen FATF(non military options)
- number of global forums, GoI made sure terrorism is raised

this sort of information has to come from India, we are alone in this world, can't expect folks who betting against us to make a case on India's behalf.

gora commentators are slowly building a case, that if there is military escalation or indus water stops, it's India's fault. giving free pass to terrorism. just like they did with israel.

अपने पूर्वजों की ज़मीन और युद्ध में जीती हुई ज़मीन ही अपनी होती है। बाकी तो जहाँ भी जाकर रह लो, वो सब परायी होती हैं — कभी भी छीनी जा सकती हैं।
Quote by my elders from western part of India……

I think one thing we are discounting here is our service chiefs. We only talk of Modi. But kinetic decisions- what kind, when - all will be taken by our service chiefs. Our service chiefs have been given free hand. I doubt service chiefs will plan for very limited impact.

If I were one of the service chiefs, I was waiting for this moment for last 40 years. I am highly competent. I know my and adversaries’ capabilities very well. And I have been trained to do this all my life. I know that this is my chance to register myself in the annals of history.

I would not let this chance slip away.

If a major strike is being planned, it would take at least a month. Even the U.S. military, with its extensive logistical capabilities, would require months of preparation to launch an attack—even against a force like Hamas.

If I was the Iaf chief , always wanted to destroy the f16 first ....last time they had bullied us a lot.
Let them hide 2-3 f16 loss when the losss will be in 2 digits ,they will be forced to acknowledge.

In the event of a full-scale India-Pakistan air war, India might lose around 70 fighter jets, but the Pakistan Air Force wouldn’t exist, India will achieve complete air superiority over Pakistan.

India can survive,if india will be able to do the naval blockade and then achieve air superiority, then they won't be able to get outsider help...then will surrender

=====
The Government of India has undertaken significant diplomatic efforts since 2014 to build global consensus against terrorism through bilateral statements, multilateral statements, and participation in global forums. Below is a comprehensive overview of these efforts, categorized by the type of engagement, with a focus on key initiatives and outcomes.

Bilateral Statements and Engagements

India has leveraged bilateral relationships to issue joint statements condemning terrorism and fostering cooperation in counter-terrorism efforts. These engagements often involve intelligence sharing, capacity building, and calls for action against terrorist groups and their sponsors.

  1. India-United States Cooperation:
  2. India-United Kingdom Collaboration:
    • Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism: At the 14th meeting of the India-UK Joint Working Group on Counter-Terrorism (January 2021), both nations called for all countries to ensure no territory under their control is used for terrorist attacks, implicitly addressing Pakistan’s role in cross-border terrorism.
    • Bilateral Statements: India and the UK have consistently issued statements condemning terrorism and advocating for stronger international cooperation to dismantle terrorist networks.
  3. India-Africa Partnerships:
  4. India-Bangladesh and India-Myanmar Relations:
  5. India-Canada and India-Latin America Engagements:

Multilateral Statements and Initiatives

India has actively participated in multilateral forums to advocate for a unified global approach to counter-terrorism, emphasizing the need for comprehensive legal frameworks and collective action.

  1. South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC):
  2. Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO):
    • Counter-Terrorism Focus: As a member of the SCO, India has participated in summits (e.g., July 2023) that prioritize counter-terrorism, combating extremism, and separatism. The SCO provides a platform to engage with Central Asian republics and maintain dialogue with China and Russia on security issues.

    • Multilateral Statements: SCO summits have resulted in joint declarations condemning terrorism and calling for coordinated action, aligning with India’s diplomatic objectives.
  3. BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa):
    • Diplomatic Milestones: At the 16th BRICS Summit (October 2024), India’s diplomatic efforts contributed to a resolution on the India-China border issue, indirectly supporting regional stability and counter-terrorism by reducing bilateral tensions. BRICS statements have consistently condemned terrorism and called for global cooperation.

    • Counter-Terrorism Advocacy: India has used BRICS to push for a unified stance against terrorism, including efforts to curb terror financing.
  4. India-EU Cooperation:
    • Joint Statement on Counter-Terrorism: The India-EU joint statement on cooperation in combating terrorism emphasizes decisive actions against globally proscribed terrorists and entities like Hafeez Saeed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and ISIS. Both sides committed to cutting terror financing and enhancing cooperation in forums like the Global Counter-Terrorism Forum and Financial Action Task Force (FATF).

Global Forums

India has utilized global platforms, particularly the United Nations and G20, to champion a comprehensive approach to counter-terrorism, advocate for legal frameworks, and mobilize international support.

  1. United Nations (UN):
    • Resolution on Weapons of Mass Destruction: In November 2020, India’s resolution “Measures to prevent terrorists from acquiring weapons of mass destruction” was co-sponsored by over 75 countries and adopted by consensus in the UN General Assembly’s First Committee, highlighting India’s leadership in counter-terrorism.
    • UN Security Council (UNSC) Meetings: During India’s UNSC presidency (December 2022), it hosted a meeting on “Global Counter Terrorism Architecture: Principles & Way Ahead,” emphasizing reforms in global counter-terrorism frameworks.
    • Advocacy for Comprehensive Convention: India has consistently pushed for a UN Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism to establish a universal legal framework, addressing gaps in global counter-terrorism efforts.

    • UNSC Endorsement: In April 2025, posts on X reported that the UNSC unequivocally endorsed India’s actions against Pakistan-sponsored terrorism, with support from major powers like the U.S., Russia, China, and Iran, marking a diplomatic victory. This reflects India’s sustained efforts to isolate Pakistan internationally. (Note: This information is inconclusive without official confirmation.)
    • Peacekeeping and Capacity Building: India’s contributions to UN peacekeeping missions in Congo, Sudan, and Somalia include counter-terrorism training, enhancing African states’ capabilities.

  2. G20:
  3. Global Counter-Terrorism Forum (GCTF):
  4. Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G-77:
    • Mobilizing the Global South: India has used NAM and G-77 to rally developing countries around counter-terrorism, emphasizing sovereign equality and collective action. These platforms have supported India’s calls for UNSC reforms and a stronger global counter-terrorism framework.

Conclusion

Since 2014, the Government of India has pursued a robust diplomatic strategy to build global consensus against terrorism. Through bilateral statements with key partners like the U.S., UK, and African nations, multilateral engagements in SAARC, SCO, BRICS, and the EU, and leadership in global forums like the UN and G20, India has advocated for comprehensive counter-terrorism measures, legal frameworks, and collective action. While challenges like cross-border terrorism and regional tensions persist, India’s diplomatic efforts have enhanced its global stature, isolated state sponsors of terrorism, and fostered international cooperation to address this critical security threat.

Yeah but it would leave us vulnerable vis a vis Chinese.

Even if pakis are destroyed, we would have to immediately do something or else Chinese might actually go for invasion if they find us vulnerable.

But we must go for conflict with pakis. Chinese won't go for a air conflict in the mountains. We have to take that risk.
