99% of the news from Pakis about Kaan, or other collaborations with Turkey are total BS. Only Paki contribution to Kaan project was something like wind tunnel calculations because they had experience in that previously. Software for Kaan is written by TÜBİTAK and HAVELSAN, and maybe ASELSAN.

The Turks intend to use the Pakis there as cyber coolies to test their software & other such wares. It was what the Brits wanted when they were desperately pushing for a partnership with us in their Tempest program before they tied up with the Japs.

One more thing , these Paxtani engineers trained in mostly western equipment & systems then bring that expertise to Paxtan for domestic projects .

The good part is there's no money for such domestic projects nor is it likely Paxtan will possess the bandwidth viz technical expertise ( though that's the stated aim of this exercise ) for assembling a 5th Gen FA ( assuming KAAN will turn out to be one ) except imports & assembling of other items from SKDs & CKDs then declaring those items indigenous.

Porkistani def experts are creating false air around kaan from start but there was no big chance of kaan for pakistani from start
And now paf themselves going ahead with pla af rejected j 31 they said it multiple times not kaan
 
They will buy j31 they want some bargaining leverage. They just can't depend solely on one nation. Which has notorious history of trapping nations with debt.
 
The j35 is very much ready.....and the next potential buyer might be paf

They will try to get certain numbers of j35 , as they bought j10c

So now iaf will go for su57 , only fifth generation fighter available for India ....
 
Does PAF have AGM-88 HARMs?

Can't find anything reliable in Wikipedia, and other sources say they only have Chinese and Brazilian anti-radiation missiles.

I suppose it will be one it's older iteration j35/j31 has gone through many number of iterative development and prototype where made for each iteration. There were significant changes improvements in each one.
Expect one of those old iteration to be handed over to Pakistan with average ew suit inherited mostly from jf17 b3 and j10ce. Giving latest one will definitely compromise there stealth aspect they're will be significant structural changes.
 
Wait I thought they made there indigenous ground based gids iews suit but they're way ahead of us in screwdrivergiri 🪛. We do have indigenous integrated electronic warfare system much capable and can perform diverse tasks.
They just assembled sigint & communication jammer and called it a integrated electronic warfare system. Which isn't even integrated tbh.
I doubt that this so called GIDS IEWS could perform direction finding & locating well enough.
