Yeah real world scenarios are different than just training, thats why US go to so many wars for no effing reason, keeping the sword sharp. So its not just SK which will find it difficult during initial phase.

I was like, "...why are they using quad-nvgs while trying to suppress a mob that is a few feet from them?" Those things are heavy and your neck will hurt over time or worse, you will lose an expensive piece of machinery during the shoving.

Maybe they didn't have time to use the right paramilitary forces in all the chaos; then I thought, "muh 1st world country" should have accounted for that and realized crowd control is a whole another set of skills.

Pretty sure the only reason the 707th was deployed first is because they were/are on standby and could be ordered to deploy by the President in a "war like scenario" without any parliamentary oversight. Hence they were the one's to surround the parliament.
