I'm seeing reports of Olenya being hit? How is that even possible? Isn't it more than 1,500 KM away from Ukraine's borders?

These drones took off from wooden crates.. that were smuggled by Ukraine, over the course of a year..
The FPV drones were launched from near the bases..

Apparently, Ukraine managed to smuggle containers full of these loitering munitions deep inside Russia. I don't understand how this is possible lol.

Russian nuclear deterrence against NATO just got weaker..
That is the problem with a very long war.. Whether Ukraine joins NATO or not is immaterial.. Ukraine has the strategic territorial depth, to absorb territorial losses for years.. but in the process cause strategic damage to Russia, which will take Russia years to recover from..

Fortunately for India, Pakistan has not much strategic depth in an all out war..

They did nt have jammers for soft kill ? In any case swarm attack from your own territory is a problematic prospect . We have LOC we know drones coming from there and have placed assets . I wonder how prepared we are to deal with swarm attacks from from own territory having a proximity from unexpected directions .. This also gives a new dimension to action of para forces . We got to be prepared for this .

An airbase is supposed to have point defence systems to protect against drones and quad-copters. It seems Russians never thought that their interior bases would be targeted.

I think more such vulnerable interior bases will be bombed like this, depends on how many trojan "containers" they managed to smuggle inside Russia.

An airbase is supposed to have point defence systems to protect against drones and quad-copters. It seems Russians never thought that their interior bases would be targeted.

I think more such vulnerable interior bases will be bombed like this, depends on how many trojan "containers" they managed to smuggle inside Russia.

Pakistan / China could do the same to US.. using moles inside indian.. All our aircraft need to be in bunkers.. and Intelligence needs to be on high alert . With point air defence systems at all bases..

They have immense land border which are forested as well.

Infiltration of people or materials by determined actors can be done.

How did that happened . Ukrainian Special forces infiltration? That's a lot of distance how did they go that far . I cnt believe they are placing so many bombers like that without shilka , pantsir , jammers etc ..

Internal sabotage most likely or they probably used Tajiks or some other ethnic groups with grievances against the Ruski. Russia pretty much has open borders/free visa regime with CIS states, so wouldn't rule that out.

But even then Olneya is quite deep within to the north, just a few hundred kms from Finland.

Either way Ukrainian SP has my respects ,they blew up the Crimean bridge(though now repaired) with a truck bomb, had some role in blowing up NordStream 2 and now this. Impressive.

Looks like they did nt even have jammers that might cost few 10s of thousand dollars while having those millions of dollars bombers sitting there . That drone on air is sending back hd video to the operator.

That's over 4000 kms from Ukraine.

Damn. This is an irreplaceable loss for Russia.

I wish this escalates more and Putin does a tac nuke strike in Ukraine. That will cause enough chaos in the world and will keep the orange monkey busy enough that we can keep banging Pakis left and right.
