Russian Ukrainian War (6 Viewers)

New footage of the explosion of a Ukrainian, presumably ammunition depot, filmed by residents of the city of Ternopil. The attack on Ternopil was carried out on June 6, presumably by Tu-95 aircraft, with X-101 cruise missiles. According to city residents, drones were also spotted, most likely Geran drones.

The Kh-22s haven't been fired for a long time. They are hard to shoot down, but they are very vulnerable to Ukrainian electronic warfare. However, last night, 2 were shot down at once cruise missile and the third one fell into the lake and scared the frogs.
Last night, all the missiles were shot down, but 20 "mopeds" (10% of those launched) reached their target.
Actually Akim, Ukraine claims they shot down 479 out of 499 drones/missiles that were launched. Nobody takes you serious here. Why don't you post on Denys or that clown Jake's accounts. They would welcome you to their single digit IQ club.

Russia has launched a total of 499 drones and missiles at Ukraine overnight on Monday, specifically targeting western regions of Ukraine. Kyiv has neutralised most of the incoming targets, including Kinzhal ballistic missiles.

In yet another massive overnight attack, Russia launched a total of 499 drones and missiles at Ukraine on Monday.

According to the official statement by Ukraine’s Air Defence forces, 479 of them have been downed.

In a record wave of strikes, Moscow launched 479 Shahed‑type attack drones and various decoy UAVs, four Kh‑47M2 "Kinzhal" air-launched ballistic missiles, 10 Kh‑101 cruise missiles, three Kh‑22 cruise missiles, two Kh‑31P anti‑radar missiles and one Kh‑35 cruise missile.

Ukraine reportedly neutralised 479 of the incoming targets, shooting down 292 and jamming 187 via electronic warfare.

We will know when this is a real war in the eyes of Russia. They will destroy the bridges (including rail bridges) cutting off a third of Ukraine. I always wondered why they didn't do this years ago, now I know why.

The SMO might be upgrades to a CTO (Counter Terrorist Operation) https://news-pravda.com/usa/2025/06/05/1397430.html I very much doubt they would implement most of these.

A brief summary of CTO legal implications:

• FSB officers become part of the command structure of the military operation and participate in military planning and decision making at the highest levels.

• A new central operational command is created, staffed by officers from the FSB alongside those of the Ministry of Defence and Interior ministry.

• Conscripted soldiers may be utilised in combat operations (not just mobilized reservists).

• Security services may requisition property of citizens such as personal vehicles, warehouses etc for CTO use.

• Strict powers of control over the exchange of information.

• Communication means may be disconnected by security services without notice.

• Unimpeded access to any CTO employee into any premises in Russia without the need for legal warrant.

• Restrictions on freedom of movement.

• Employees of FSB, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Emergency Situations and others, become part of the CTO.

• Expanded powers to security forces in who may be designated a hostile combatant. This opens the door to targeted destruction of non-military individuals.

The last point is very important, because it creates the legal framework under which Ukrainian government officials may be deliberately targeted and destroyed, including but not limited to Zelensky himself.

What a clown statement if you are not in war then country against whom you launched smo casualy destroy your nuclear delivery platform , attacks nuclear submarine base , sinks your naval ship , attack you inside your own country still somehow you are not at war he should just directly say he is kuck next time

This is a dumb view. It reels of our 'attack on terrorists ' line.

You are allowing weapons to flow in so that you can call it a SMO. Similarly, we didn't to SEAD because we wanted to claim we only wanted to call it anti-terror ops.

I study semantics and I have to agree with you. The west has it's own form of distorting reality with a bullshit narrative, and so does Russia. Normally I would take it as a grain of salt, but this thing escalated a lot, and it looks like it will escalate a lot more. So it's not all empty words.

Why hasn't Russia placed ZU-23-2 & Shilka around their cities and vulnerable points? I think they should be able to defend against such drone attacks more effectively. Russia is supposed to have an IADS setup which should be able to direct AD guns.

May be there are radar gaps in long Ukraine Russia border . Those legacy soviet systems did excellent complementary job against 500/600 turkish drones , mlrs at LOC . May be they don't have the numbers to cover . But still these drones getting to travel 1000 km inside Russia is surprising .

Russians wanted to capture Ukraine intact. So that, they would not have to rebuild the entire country. Now, it looks like, it is dawning on them them that taking Ukraine intact is perhaps not possible.

Residents of Cheboksary have published footage of attacks by Ukrainian An-196 Lyutyi kamikaze UAVs. The VNIIR-Progress plant, which produces jam-proof GLONASS antennas used in cruise missiles and drones, was attacked. Reportedly, two drones hit the roof of the plant, which temporarily halted production. Judging by the video, one Lyutyi drone was shot down by the Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense system, and there may be more. It is worth noting that air defense systems cannot function properly in urban areas, and one Pantsir-S1 air defense system is clearly not enough for protection. The Lyutyi kamikaze UAV is made of fiberglass

Exactly!

I mentioned this after Murmansk and Irkutsk attacks. Russia needs SRR to act as sensors backed by AA guns. This should be their last line of defense as far as aerial threats are concerned. This should be installed on every important facility inside Russia.

I am assuming, they have adequate counter measures to address such threats as airplanes and missiles. Also, I am assuming they have sensors to monitor against potential ground based sabotage attempts.

Could be
But in return they are getting their own country destroyed.
Putin is never getting Ukraine intact he will either have to ruin Ukraine like gaza or end the war

Yesterday I heard that the Ukrainian air defense missile system "Kilchen" (analogous to the Patriot and S-400) has been guarding the Ukrainian skies for several months now.
