Sinking State of Bangladesh: Idiotic Musings

Their "Express " must be running at 20 kmph which is the speed at which trams used to run or maybe even trams ran faster.

They can't risk acceleration else people riding the top would fall down on the tracks like ripe coconuts.

Every bend in the track & the "Express " would be decelarating to 10-15 kmph for the same set of issues as described above.

Which makes you wonder why exactly are they running trains spending on all that infrastructure when what they needed were trams.

Thank god we electrified our rail-lines. Else this would be trending as "Average train in India".
You can still ride trains with overhead wires . Check out the distance between the top of the pantograph & the top of the train. Plenty of space for people to sit comfortably .

Reason Indians don't ride the roofs are cheaper tickets , increasing frequency of trains , inherent honesty of most people excluding the peacefuls of buying a proper ticket & traveling with dignity , improvement in the standards of living , better infrastructure , a demanding people for even better facilities , etc qualities you won't see in Paxtan & BD

Hence while we're gradually inching our way to the top they're descending in terms of feet into a downward spiral.

I dont think so. The output voltage is extremely high. Even if you sit nearby you will suffer serious burn injuries due to high voltage, the magnetic field is higher, any metallic object an person carrying will be attracted. Direct contact will be fatal.

Last year in TN one retarded party member climbed on an loco for an protest. Long story short.looks like he got near the OHE and got arced.guy survives with 3rd degree burn and died in hospital i believe

My father told me of an incident. A recruit had an itch during the movement onboard a military train, and he tried to touch the OHE using his tester, standing atop a truck. Died on the spot.

I live in Mumbai where Yahoos would regularly climb the roofs of local EMUs in my childhood during the 1990s . You don't see it today but back in the 80s & 90s it wasn't uncommon.

Hell I've seen people stand on the roof of such trains dodging OHE . That's how the got their kicks perhaps.
