Summarizing -

1. Early 2021

Chinese state-linked hacking group, later identified as RedEcho, had infiltrated key systems within India’s power grid.

Over the course of several months, this group had managed to quietly establish digital links to at least ten of India’s most sensitive power-related entities. These included four of the country’s five Regional Load Despatch Centres, or RLDCs.
But the RLDCs weren’t the only targets.

The hackers were also found to be inside systems linked to a major thermal power station, two large shipping ports, and several high-voltage substations, critical infrastructure that enables electricity to travel across state lines and into homes, hospitals, airports, data centres, and military bases.

These systems form the invisible spine of India’s economy.

2 2022

Seven State Load Despatch Centres (SLDCs), which handle electricity distribution within states, were found to be compromised. Also hit were the Indian operations of a global logistics firm and, more worryingly, the country’s national emergency response system.


The breaches have deepened fears that China’s cyber strategy may go beyond disrupting infrastructure to actively undermining India’s ability to respond in a crisis.

China does not intend to exploit its access to India’s critical infrastructure immediately. But by embedding itself quietly in advance, it secures a strategic edge. If tensions escalate, the ability to disrupt civilian systems is already in place. The malware may lie dormant indefinitely, yet its mere presence alters the calculus of any future conflict.

Indian Situation​

• India is grappled by very unique situation to say. Indian social media is dominated by elites who vastly speak English as Indians in its formative years didn't think of having a unique language as National Language thus loosing unique upper hand in that matter. The strict English education for all also undermines every other effort.
• India is surrounded by 2 natural enemies of Indic Civilization i.e. Pakistan and Bangladesh + 1 strategic enemy i.e. China.
• Indian politicians and journalists also lack strategic thinking or patriotic spirit for greater good of Indic people. They never developed ability for narrative building on national matters for sovereignty/ strategic upper hand.
• India also has nearly 16-18% leftover population(not everyone but we should consider worst case scenario) of partition who never really cares for India in larger sense but sees it as a state that is these for short period till it collapses to form larger Mughal empire again.

Problems To Tackle With​

• India's unique situation with weak law and order+ weak surveillance and enforcement by intelligence bureau has made it the ultimate laboratory of western sophisticated brainwashing through narratives building. Recent China+ Pakistan+Bangladesh axis's disinformation campaign and hateful narratives against Hindus/Indians made Indians into pariah people. Such campaigns not only created degenerate impression on global audience about Indians but also caused severe inferiority complex among Hindus/Indians which undermines their morale. Such disinformation operations help local conversion groups and also stalls talent retention in India.
• Indian journalists particularly highlights negatives and minority persecution (which on ground might not be true) to such an extent that it makes almost impossible for neutral news reader to think otherwise of Indian society. Case in point is operation Sindoor where Indian journalists printed maps using the name of 'Indian Administered Kashmir' and paraded foreign news agencies narratives to larger Indian audience. Another example of bulldozer operation going across Uttar Pradesh and Delhi where they highlighted about Mosques being bulldozed but without mentioning them being situated on Government Land. It not only affects local audience but google searches also frequently pop up such news and articles about India. Also English being the language of such newspapers help building narratives against India.

• The 16-18% leftovers of partition(not everyone but we should consider worst case scenario) has been allowed by Indian state to grow and create an ecosystem without any check. They almost act as an enemy of the nation. During Gaza and Israel war Hinduphobia reached its peak on social media and it was jointly spread by muslims from abroad but along with muslims in India. The material to globe was provided by local muslims!!! Attacks on Hindus and Hindu temples abroad can be indirectly linked to the hate material provided by local Islamists in India and particularly muslim journalists in India. e.g. Rohingya refugees being thrown into the sea was false news spread by local Islamist news channel.
  
• News spread by extreme left wing journalists in the past have also caused tensions with foreign nations thus undermining India's foreign policy. It also must be noted that Gulf nations,China and Pakistan funds disinformation campaign against Hindus & India to undermine India's growth and halting economic development.

Solutions That Can Be Implemented​

• India must cultivate its own global news channels to spread our own narratives worldwide. State must fund such news channels regularly.
• We must have dedicated fact check unit along with department of Intelligence Bureau attached with Ministry of Information & broadcasting.
• We must have narrative building and counter narrative building teams on all social media platforms which seems wastage of precious government funding but would help in long run in tourism industry as well as attracting foreign FDI. It would collectively help Indians to work with confidence and to represent India proudly as global citizens.
• Extreme left journalists and their news media must be appropriately deal with by hook or crook.
• Indian state must cultivate and elevate its own assets to top position in standard established newspapers or news media like The Hindu, The Indian Express etc.
• Severe clamp down on external funding of news media/ x accounts is must.
• External state sponsored news channels like TRT, Al Jazeera, BBC must be either warned or strictly banned.
• Indian state should not let Islamist news ecosystem to be formed at any cost for strategic and security purpose. All x handles of Islamists, news medias like The scroll, Maktoob, Media One should be strictly either under government control or banned.
• Intelligence Bureau must be given more powers and more technology for serious surveillance of social media handles.
• India being the world IT leader should absolutely replace social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X(Twitter) with our own with our own algorithms,terms & narratives. It should be the priority in this conflict ridden world.
• And the most important reform is the creation of Giant Firewall just like China to regulate information coming in and going out of India. It should be the priority of Indian state. It shall also break the contact of local terrorists, separatists from their international counterparts. e.g. Without the boycott call of Gulf countries and their broadcasting on social media it would have been almost impossible for local muslims to protest at KFC, Zudio. That's where Firewall comes in picture.
• We must develop capacity and capability of our own psyops for narrative building against particular matter in our own citizens for national integration,security and territorial integrity.
• Here is the list of news media that at once must be put under surveillance.
