Hardly. Most of the religious minorities did very well under Assad himself an Alawite - a Shi'a sect & a religious minority. All those benefiting under the previous regime become the first & legitimate target by the opposition.

What better way then to prove their neutrality / loyalty to the new regime than celebrating the fall of the old one & hoping the new regime forgets about their conduct under the old regime ?
 
They will go for Iran(the only one left on the 7 country list)... no matter how improbable it seems.

As of now two possible saviors of Iran seem to be Russia & China... both of them will be pinned down.

Where? Ladies and gentlemen... gear up for an unforeseen massive & complex conflict that will erupt in central Asia... which is the backyard & underbelly of both Russia & China... where both will have to jump to stop its effects from spreading inside their borders.

If I go with above assumption... then "Trump is change of face... not face of change".

There's also a long overdue conflict in Taiwan which might explode in future.

These Americans have no idea that they ain't some mastermind playing geopolitical games. They lack cultural nuance, history, foresight to know that any intervention that results in more death, destruction and instability is going to destabilize the entire world. Maybe to a point of no return. There is no winning here. It's a strange fact that it took trump of all people to realize the fact that More interventions and Wars are bad.

Mark my words, this overconfidence that Americans have, that they are untouchable and will bear no consequences for their actions is gonna shatter in this century and I am damn sure I will be alive to see it.

Fair move. That buffer zone is where IDF pulled back from on a disengagement deal with Syrian regime. With that voice, they need to secure it ASAP.... & grab as much more as they can, while they can IMO.

Iran will go nuclear IMO, they will certainly develop a few nuclear warheads to safeguard themselves. The Iranian nuclear programme is not for Israel, it is due to the lasting effect it had on their psych and threat perception due to Saddam Hussein's invasion of Iran in the 1980s. Iran will develop a nuclear bomb, and it will be a Shia nuclear bomb against an existential threat posed by neighboring Sunni states. Saddam was a pet Dog of the US deep state, and received funding from American poodles in the Gulf. Armed to the teeth with American supplied chemical weapons to use against Iranians on the battlefield. Saddam was ousted from power by Americans because he went astray and got duly punished for his needless invasion of Kuwait. Had he remained a loyal pet of Gulf Sunni Arabs and Americans, he would be a great asset against Iran. Sunni kingdoms are now aligned with Israel to take on Shia Iran. Iran is surrounded by Sunni states, including nuclear-armed Pakistan, another lackey of Americans and Gulf Arabs. Their Shia Allies now lost power to the Sunni HTS in Syria, supported and funded by Americans, Turks and Gulf Arabs. So from here on, the only way for Iran to defend itself is to develop nukes.
