Iraq was a good place during saddam hossain (comparative ). . He was Arab nationalist and avoided extremist ideology . We had good relationship with them . But finally islam and democracy () came for them . There is no better weapon than islam to target a islamic country . Same thing happened in many places .

He is sunni and his family is sunni. Mother side could be against ottomans, but due being sunni her family had no issues with ottomans. Most Loyal Arabs to ottomans at last times of ottomans were north Syrian ones and Iraqi sunni ones.
