Indian Army should consider using M993 Tungsten Carbide (AP) 7.62x51mm rounds along with their 16'' Sig 716i rifles to defeat entry level (ESAPI) NIJ LVL 4 body armor for future use by Pakistan and China.

Note how 16'' barrels are inadequate using even AP rounds in the next test. This is because you need at least 2880 ft/s muzzle velocity through advance (XSAPI) NIJ LVL 4 body armor.

Sig 716i can be given a 20'' barrel alongside the M993 round to be able to punch through advance (special forces) NIJ LVL 4 body armor.

6.8x51mm (.277 Fury) (135g) in a 13'' barrel gives the same performance as a 7.62x51mm M80A1 (~147g) fired using a 20'' barrel so that something to think on for the future.

The 7.62x51 currently used in our Sigs might not kill someone with a lvl-III/IV plate but can still put them out of a fight since their ribs are very likely to shatter upon impact

It can easily destroy NIJ LVL III+ plates because India tends to use steel tipped M80A1 style ball ammunition.

Makes sense why Indian Army went straight for .338 Lapua. In the below video, there is almost a double layer of LVL IV and III+ protection.

Ukrainians are getting too guccied up from NATO icl
I have seen this suit being used by both side in big numbers and this suit also conceal your thermal signature and I am mostly sure none of Indian sf have noted the use of this leaf suit i think something similar to it will be useful in kashmir and northeast and if sf/ army demand for it same thing can be devloped for desert and mountain camo for ladakh and thar desert

They offer good performance but eat through the barrel a lot quicker ..
As we are using foreign platform they would need a refit which sig will for sure exploit .

I say the best way to increase their effectiveness will be to standardize ACOGs and to train them to take pelvic/head shots .

I don't if this will work or not but what if babus making F INSAS like shit -
We set some requirements and ask private companies to MAKE A LOADOUT for infantry or SF according to the requirements and set a price of this in which way unit purchases won't be a problem on top of that logistics will get simpler cause everyone will be using the same loadout
(BTW by loadout i mean something like this picture everything is set by the companies to ful fill our requirements)
What say? @Noob @VictorDelta4

Sounds good but too straight forward and logical for us to take these steps and there is nothing called F Insas it's just gov way of keeping votes of common folks who knows jackshit about gear and will give vote thinking something is happening especially in military villages where decades of generations have been part of military.
