One line answer - not as many as we'd like & check out #21 in the same thread. So are there any companies presently, that are manufacturing machine tools, and helping to reduce imports? Start ups?
Ace Micromatic is already shipping 8,000 to 9,000 machines per year worldwide, with a bold goal of doubling that number to 20,000 machines while hitting a revenue milestone of Rs 10,000 crore (that’s over a billion dollars, folks) by 2025. If you haven’t heard their name yet, you will soon, because they’re about to shake up the global machine tool market in a big way.
As part of the agreement, Bharat Forge will provide VEDA's unmanned systems with microjet engines, with its 40 and 45 Kgf engines already in serial production. In the future, the company is developing an indigenous jet engine with thrust capacities of up to 400 Kgf for future defence use.
