Ironically enough the case resulted in a conviction in the trial court in 2007-08 but the threat to his life persists till date .

The SC has highlighted the need for a Witness Protection Act on the lines with what the US has since many years to no avail.

This is a vital part of the much delayed police & judicial reforms.

While we're discussing earth shattering issues here , the situation on the ground regarding day to day policing or local security is either the same or it is getting worse.

The only reason there's movement on this issue is coz it happened to an IA personnel which raises the question if this can happen to an IA personnel who's exactly safe out here ?

Strange.. this case is not being discussed here..

Going just by the verbal testimony will be a mistake here. The lady's behaviour is questionable. She's seen hiting the elevator door at bar, hours before the incident, unnecessarily, when others are quietly waiting for it to arrive.

Another footage from hospital shows her in normal condition but later arrives on a wheelchair in media.

This shows her in a bad position, a negative publicity something done by Momta begum at the times of election.

The manhandling and harassment accusation at the PS need a thorough investigation. Jumping at a conclusion would be wrong.
