Look at pace of change in US in first 10 weeks of Trump regime - both in US administration (such as taking an axe to USAID, etc) , US social policies ( trump has made shit tons of anti-tranny orders) and economic re-structuring.

Things wont go to normal. Because mid results are still 90 weeks or so away. At this rate of change, by the time mid terms come, US is going to be un-recognizable and even if Dems win back, it will take another decade to get back to 2024 'normal'.

This is why some geopolitical analysts i highly respect are calling this the USA's Henry the 8th moment. He is remembered for the wrong reasons ( being fat, killing his wives, etc) but people forget, **HE** is the English King that single-handedly changed the entire trajectory of European and world history, by taking England out of Catholic Church, systematically dismantling the catholic infrastructure ( so many priests purged, universities purged of their clergy staff, monasteries purged, etc) and creating a completely new architecture - Anglican Church.

Ideally, he should've just pounded Cheen and other countries(like Viet) through which the chinks redirect their goods, but instead he decided to take on the whole world - which puts him in a much weaker negotiating position than he needs to be in. Other countries including India should probably take advantage of this situation.

For instance, they want the EUwallahs to buy oil and natgas worth US$ 350 billion. The funny part? That is more than what the US can produce right now. So up until the newer oilfields go live (will take years), the tariffs will stay.
