INS Imphal - 3rd of P-15B class destroyer started Sea Trials on April 28th 2023:

MDL delivered the first ship of P-15B in 2021 followed by the second in 2022. The third ship, christened ‘Imphal’ is currently undergoing sea trials and MDL is set to deliver the third ship of P-15B in September-October of 2023, this is 4-5 months before the contracted date. The fourth and last ship of the class, christened ‘Surat’ is scheduled to be delivered in the middle of next year (2024).​

There is lot of discussion on Armament load out for Indian Navy Ships and P15B ships are not left out.

I too believe these ships are loaded sufficiently or appropriately for their roles.

And One big bummer is the use of COGOG propulsion system which doesn't run on diesel, its Soviet (now Ukrainian) engines are burning gas. Efficiency of gas when using low power is very poor (wrt diesel).

This results in heavy smoke buildup during the times ships are anchored to ports.

The newer ships from P-17A and B classes will be using CODOG and CODAG respectively which burns Diesels at low speeds and combines it with two LM2500+ GT's for higher speeds making exhauts remarkably cleaner.​

Made a comment on DFI on the productivity of the Indian Projects:

~10 years to deliver 4 Project-15B vessels.
~11 years to deliver 7 Project-17A vessels.

Efficiency and productivity is increasing with time.

P15B faced delays due to Covid-19 also.

It is still not the same level as EU and Asian players, but we are improving a lot with time.

It's not just that. The user changes the requirements in the middle of construction which causes even more dealy. This was the case with P-17A.
