About the Op

This was a textbook operation. Back in October, 2012, two members of a Danish demining group were kidnapped by an armed gang. They were trying to get to the airport. Someone in their entourage who was Somali probably sold their location out. They were kidnapped. The were moved a number of times west and south, they wound up in an encounter -- encampment close to the border of Ethiopia. A couple of nights later, a parachute operation – Team Six guys dropped two miles from the target. They were able to patrol in on foot. The action on the objective which only took 15 minutes. The shooting was over within two or three minutes, about as long as these things go. they killed nine captives dead. They were able to get the two hostages out. They were then flown to a camp. Then back to the mediterranean, then on their way home.

The tricky part of this op was the infill itself.
An exerpt from Relentless Strike should explain it all...
"The operators who exited the back of the Combat Talon realized in mid air that they couldn’t make it to their primary drop zone. “There was so much fog they had to go to an alternate drop zone,” said a Team 6 source. For the experienced freefall jumpers this was no great obstacle. Using microphones and earpieces fitted to their helmets, they were able to discuss the change in plans while in midair, and still managed to land far enough away from the camp that the pirates never heard or saw them. The SEALs then moved on foot to the camp so stealthily that the nine kidnappers guarding the hostages had no idea they were under attack until it was far too late"

With all kinds of pics we have about MARCOS I feel they would be the only force today in India that could pull this kinda op....Somalia would come under their domain too if an Indian was to be held at ransom
