What happened to those black head scarves or bandanas? Until late 2010s it was the trend and then came tactical scarf. black bandana had some history as in early days only Para and other commando units were allowed to weat it as regular units heads find it too unprofessional and too informal.Then after finding out the units which wears this one has greater kill count the higher ranks allowed their men to dress them up like commandos .

80s-Armoured boys started wearing in Rajasthan.

90s-Para SF specially 10 brought it to kashmir i think.

Late 90s-RR started wearing.

2000s-Normal infantry started wearing and Para SF started wearing camouflage ones.

imagine 3,500 $ for ear pros , peltors cost north of 800 in civilian market .
that's what happen when you don't do direct procurement from the company and instead through middle suppliers ...who said we have lack of capital .

But anyway at least they god some good stuff at last .

2.5 Lakhs to be precise. They tested comtacs too, but these are better

Comtacs too would've costed around 2 lakhs, so yeah this is better

3L is too much for a headset man, praying a total downfall for these type of middlemen

Unless there's a 100%+ import duty, that price still does not makes any sense. These vultures aka middlemen should be kneecapped the moment they quote such exorbitant prices.
Pretty sure someone from the Mil procurement side also reaped its benefits.

how we were paying 3x cost for thease in ear comms same vendor is offering insas mod now you know why it is that expensive same vendor is manufacturing exp3 and g33 i wonder how much are we paying for it

Actual cost of silynx in ear comms is 1000$ and we are paying 3400$

Silynx in ear comms are really really good still we are paying 3x cost while buying it in 347 which isn't alot but still big number
In same cost we could get 900 such in ear comms from direct purchase

Prices are varying on different sites, don't refer to these sites for actual prices

Moreover we have bought the SoS clarus Dual radio version, which is costing about 1700$ on these sites

This statement comes many times on this theead and its true also but never forget why it is true.

It is true due to superior surveillance we have and when a decent trained infantry battalion which has been on battle mode for a year or two lays ambush ANY SF team will get destroyed.

To remember why we are superior is very important.

And to keep the tech superiority is very important.

Or else SSG wont be a psuhover.

We are trading blows with Pakis for long time. But now chinaman is the main villain and they are using all NATO trainers to get some new age tactics. Implementation may be questionable. But still we have history to back up, our indecision result sin 1962 fiasco. Chinaman can try their chances against our poorly loaded troops.

Whatever little knowledge and understanding i have of things i dont think we can win a war with China..Maybe a battle of two but definitely not a war.

Their Generals even though not war veterans(which even ours are not) have a very good approach on being modern and thatswhy they invest a lot of resources trying to be that.

Our entire Army is based on the laurels of the past.You dont see any sort of thinking behind any induction which gives a impression that there are very wrong people at the job who dont have any aptitude but work only for salary.

Dude this is supposed to be someone who joined the Army, went through infantry school, got a posting somewhere, then went for Para probation, cleared it somehow, and is now part of a contingent of "elite" soldiers in a bilateral exercise. Are you kidding me?!
Oh my god, I hope no one posts this on a subreddit. 12 yr olds would eat into us and they probably have better weapon handling skills than this "operative".

Not trying to defend them or justify any of their inefficiencies, but in this particular case I don't think its an error from that operator.
I don't think he was in a ready or challenge position when this picture was taken.

I think he is looking at the magazine and trying to adjust/insert the magazine properly or something.
