meaning, US citizens and Indian citizens don't need any visa to travel, work, do business etc in each other's country.

If goods can be traded freely, humans can move freely as well.

With apartments now the default mode of urban living, the government is tapping housing societies to impose 18 per cent GST on monthly maintenance. Experts estimate that around 50 lakh people live in apartments in Bengaluru, and at least another 40 lakh across cities like Mysuru, Mangaluru, Hubballi and Belagavi; and these are only the numbers for Karnataka.

The GST catch in the 2025-26 Union Budget is the revised regulations for housing societies: If monthly maintenance for an apartment is Rs 7,500 or more, or if the society’s total annual collection exceeds Rs 20 lakh, then GST kicks in. Even if the society collects Rs 20 lakh in a financial year for occasional expenses like painting or replacing the lift, it comes under the GST bracket.

This is old news. It was there way before GST I guess in the form of service tax or something. Moreover that kind of threshold is necessary otherwise gated societies will increase maintenance with impunity. These days it is impossible to find a house in a budget. When you do have the money to purchase one you end up paying around 60-70K as maintenance per annum.

The company here is called Brizprospex , they are what we call "Data brokers" , but his company seems apart from data brokering, does stuff like data sanitization, analytics and CRM stuff. Companies in west, who present themselves as business consultants in particular field often so this, but much more discretely , like they will say this kind of data brokering is "business analysis" or something like that

so, I don't think the guy here is engagement farming.

This got a lot of traction for some reason because this Khandwa thing I heard even in the JD podcast a few days ago. He has managed to get even @hit&run to respond in great detail agreeing with him in the replies so this seems a bipartisan thing with the usual doom mongerers feeling vindicated in saying that one is better off running away from the country lol.

the game is in amplification, on SM a lot of people have a lot of opinions in this country and across the world. but algorithms amplification give preferential treatment to particular type of themes. since there are no global regulations on commoditisation of influence peddling, any third party can pay for amplifying messaging for their commercial/strategic benefit.
