1. Without inner line permit we can’t stop people migrating to any state even terrorist impacted Jammu and Kashmir.
2. Again i clarified no one is saying learn Kannada before setting foot in to the state.
3. No it isn’t offensive until they start kanging their language on locals who doesn’t know. Also it’s issue with Hindi speakers only because they try to impose Hindi on non Hindi speaking people. In blore you can see people speaking multiple languages 4-5 hence they all settled in blore without any issues but they have problem to only learn/speak Kannada.
I work in corporate world and know how Hindians behave only speaking in Hindi and asking all South Indians to talk in Hindi ( superiority complex) even they can’t construct 2-3 sentences in English before switching back to Hindi. South Indians speaking in their language in my office amongst themselves few Hindi walas took offence and complained to HR of not understanding the language but they themselves speak in Hindi with their North Indians friends that isn’t offensive because they think Hindi is official language of India( again Hindi imperialist)
In 1992 Tamilians did same what hindians are doing now demanding to speak in Tamil and got trashing of their life which they never demand/ raise any Tamil related issue with Bengaluru locals or force to talk in Tamil till now.
4. There is nothing called unified national language m. India is union of states based on linguistic ethnicity especially south India. South Indian languages have been around from over 2500 years and it’s not just language but culture coexisted peacefully till the Hindi language imposition started after independence. Glad Tamilians fought back then to add English along with Hindi as official communication language of GoI. Local language ( mother tongue) + English is enough one to survive anywhere in the world.
Sanskrit is a dead language let it be used by pandits only for uttering shlokas in temple and during wedding rituals if North Indians are so obsessed with Sanskrit they can go ahead and make their Hindi belt to Sanskrit belt but don’t impose on culturally rich South Indian states.

I think a national unifying language is essential, since having diverse languages is good, but there must be common language, which helps us bridge the gap. I don't care what that language is. Be it English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Tamil whatever, I would just learn it, if I don't know how to speak that. Nationalist hating colonial language but yet adopted colonial things in their lifestyle. Also who are these nationalist? Politicians ? If it’s politicians then check on their family their son daughters are living the life in abroad studying in colonial language colonial universities adopting colonial things but preaching nationalism for Indian citizens. If you are interested you can read on some history how India was unified after independence were the challenges faced by SVP and Nehru.
Nehru addressing the unification said south india is culturally different to north it is like another country ( true) bound by the religion and he promised to not impose Hindi on South Indians. Tamil follow their own Hindu calendar and take pride in both language culture and ethnicity few periarist seek independence which are in minority.
One language one nation doesn’t applicable to Indian sub continent due to diversity. Every 150 kms there is change in dialects of language and slight difference in clothing ( now called ethnic wears).
Pakistan made the mistake of imposing Urdu on local population and paid the price in 1971 still there is fight going on Pashto’s balochis Sindhis punjabis drawn on ethnic lines.
