The joke is the consoomerist behavior you have described is something these gora normies do.
Indians would upgrade and repair-maxxx their stuff but since we don't (((( consoom ))) as much nobody cares and we have to live with the mass produced chinkshit result of gora being a fucking bugman.
Planned obsolescence promoter big-tech Pigs collaborated with Han pigs and built laptop hinges to survive only 2 years. Then they extort 5k for 100rs plastic back panel.

the world has gone fake and gay and retarded and normies ruined everything

problem is multifold
- normies used to take internet and computing so "nerdish" thing, most users of these techs were already above average users by virtue of dealing with everything on their own
- apple brought iphone and popularised that "smart" phone thing among normies
- normies, by nature of sheepiness, love everything that's hip or popular
they also love apple maal not because mac os is a bsd-fork and functional at terminal level but because KEWL
- apple tendency of keeping appearance while cutting corners with hardware, while keeping kewl looking GUI for softwares (reminder original macintosh used to advert itself as better looking than MS DOS and Win 3.1 style of early GUIs)
- soon everyone else starts following same trend to make their hardware thinner/slimmer, lightweight, "compact", attractive and so while sacrificing at quality, maintainability and repairability, upgradeablity
- normies rarely have iq above room temperature so if their hardware "slows" down they rather look at next hip thing in market, buy it and dumps previous maal to trash
- companies realise they can keep on milking normies with planned obsolence practices that involve making things unfixable at least or slowing them down at most
- the true "power" users like us are a minority so our opinions are never heard or declared "niche" and sidelined
- even in OS market, microshart is literally trying to adopt touch screen features in mainstream OS since years, starting with Win 8 and now 11 wants to be Mac-like OS in terms of basic looks...WHILE LITERALLY RUINING LOTS OF THINGS THAT MADE MICROSHART STAND STRONG = BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY AND USABILITY
- long term result = ENSHITTIFICATION of everything

my 2013 era laptop doesn't have underpowered U series cpu, and it's actually socketed means i can easily install compatible CPU for that socket on it GIVEN THEY ARE STILL MADE AND SUPPORTED - I actually thought of upgrading it with i7 when those used CPUs became cheaper enough but eventually dropped it thinking itne purane laptop me kya cpu upgrade karu

but at least i could do it, aajkal toh everything is soldered even fuckin' RAM huh?!

there was a time when laptops came in two fashions = thin and light and cosy for most normies, and thicker with more ports and upgradeable for office users and above

Dell had Vostro, HP had Inspiron, Lenovo had Thinkpads for most above average individuals, for serious modders Dell had Alienware (reminder even in 2016 they made laptops with PC CPU sockets and even GPU sockets so even graphics card could be upgraded in it) and Latitude, HP had elitebook...

nowadays most power subbrands too have adopted enshittified practices 😒

i wish for thorough painful death and destruction of Apple

interestingly,
Japanese brands like Panasonic still builds somewhat upgradeable and full featured laptops with even optical disk drive and replaceable batteries

just search pics of Panasonic Let's note japanese laptops, they might have somewhat lower ended CPU but otherwise so comfy and usable

but heh...getting such a jap laptop here is just impossibru

protip,

if the hinge is made of thin aluminium rod and broken, you could try to get it welded at jaan pehechan waali sunaar ki dukaan, tell them to use peetal (brass) ka welding,

when mine broke first time, i informed my father, he asked me to get it all disassembled, observed it for a while, took it to some sunaar unkil here, got it welded and excess ka peetal filed off to maintain that flat shape, came back, we installed everything back and it worked just fine for years to come

it did break again after some years but we just repeated previous jugaad and got it fixed, still strong

while replacement hinge are sold for 1200 some rupees for one side of hinge...

:ROFLMAO:😒

aji 🍆 mera

whenever someone's laptop hinge breaks i suggest them this idea not as an act of benevolence but also as a big FUCK YOU 🖕to big tech scums

In my case metalic hinge survives. But it breaks those tiny screw holes made inside back panel or sometimes creates a crack in the back panel.
Hence my suggestion to anyone suffering from that, just strap a .5mm metalic strip, bend it U shape and shove it.

I had a shitty lenovo in the past, sem2sem, hinge was okay but the ((( screws ))) attaching it to bottom casing broke off

Indians would upgrade and repair-maxxx their stuff but since we don't (((( consoom ))) as much nobody cares and we have to live with the mass produced chinkshit result of gora being a fucking bugman.
even uberconsooming goras are suffering and annoyed but they can't lash out because lobbying is legal in the california hell
some examples
>inkjet printers there have cartridges with chips that literally soft-lock the printer once a cart is emptied, only original or chink copies of this carts with newer chip can unlock it
some companies literally rack up prices of ink carts as much as a new printer itself, so many just prefer to buy a new printer itself than buying just chipped carts lmao 😒
or they just buy hardcore office maal manufacturers like Epson, Brother, Xerox that are sometimes expensive but not pozzed with chipped carts or unrepairable designs so much convenient in long run
>crapple also softlocks their hardware nowadays and insist that they are only "repaired" at authorised service centres (that mostly suggest you buy a new hardware lmao), or if they don't softlock, they thorougly make it difficult to repair because amount of hardware and chip level expertise one required is often engineer level, cue all Louis Rossman videos

this among other reasons why the EU is trying to tame the big tech hydra using their favourite bureaucratic weapon = regulations,
they forced crapple to adopt to USB-C, now they're trying to pass lots of regulations including smartphone to have some home level repairability using common tools, some power rating things like we have 5* rating for household appliances here, repairability labels indicating how much a hardware is repairable, batteries must have long term lifecycle with ~80 percent capacity after 1000 cycles of recharge, parts to be made available instead of relying on imports and what not

though I don't usually hear the EU bringing anything significant like that for computers and laptops there

Are bhai Indians were also modular maxxer. Even Indian normies miss those modular laptops and phones. It's the gora folks who normalised these things. Unfortunately electronic industries follow whatever is hype in goraland. Modular is again becoming hype in goraland so you are framework like company owned by a NRI selling their laptop there. That same NRI could have sold it in India, but man want to ride the gora trend to skem gora money. Even though Framework like laptops would be a hit in India. He will fail btw cuz this modular trend in goraland is niche..

Gora willing to pay premium for it.
Indian is ok with cheap chini maal

Yeah. But I thin such laptops should not be premium lmao. I hope some dhando yuba copy paste it here for cheap. Even if it is just components being imported from China land and being assembled here...that's how these kinds of laptops will revive in India.

aah yes yes been there too...these tiny nuts and their holders in stupid ass breakable plastics are inventions of shaitaan in hell, they are part of planned obsolence too

mine suffered full blown crackup of back panel after hinge broke plus jammed too... fucking assholes couldn't even grease that moving part well enough to survive some usage, huh?!

here's what i did, after getting that broken hinge welded at sunar ki dukaan
>just used Araldite = pipes chipkane wala epoxy resin adhesive to stick broken back panel together, let it set under the harsh sun for whole afternoon
>observed those screw holders in plastic shells, realised they will never survive
>took a scissor, yanked them out of plastic shell and into the dustbin they went
>used a drill to punch holes through plastic shell
>went to nearby electrician ki dukaan to get those thin screws used in ghar ki switches ka board
>during assembling it back, realised hinge holes are narrower than even smallest of electricity switch ka screw, super annoyed at that time
>now hinge base was made of super tough steel that my ghar ka drill didn't even work with, huh?! imagine yeh madharchod log, using thinnest available aluminum for hinge frame but using some military grade stainless steel for hinge base?! and then housing it all with fuckin' tiny screws in plastic shells?! no fuckin' wonder it breaks down so easily after some usage
>coming back, i just took it to nearby machining works shed, explain them situation and asked if they could punch through holes and widen them enough while being careful to not just tear it apart using their machine drill? the machinist there considered for a while, used the thinnest available drill bit and made those hinge frame holes wider enough for my screws to go through
>came back home, applied some tiny bit of motor grease to the hinge axis using an old toothbrush, affixed the screen on hinge, placed hinge on those holes i made through plastic shell, used electric switch waale screws to affix everything back
>SUCCESS.JPG

and it still works flawlessly after years

this is but some of jugaads I've done to keep my laptop alive and functional

yeah it looks bad but who cares it just werks

crapple literally made some "presentation" for collage students to make them insist their parents to buy them a macbook :ROFLMAO: 😒

and no it's not some parody despite this presentator is some stupid comedian himself, there was a link on some apple website hosting this ppt in 45 different languages - but it got removed quickly once people started criticising them for such predatory advertisement
