And their capex push has slowed down since because they just do not have the state capacity to push more meaningful capacity right now. In other words, their ability to push capex is also limited.
The result?
The incumbent is sitting atop a giant pile of cash which they refuse to channel back into the economy. Heck, forget channeling it back - they won't even cut fuel prices despite crude hitting US$ 60 a barrel in international markets.
A govt that just cannot know how to spend should hand that money back and keep the economy flowing. It is not a cope to demand it as such. No amount of word salad infra kanging will change this ground reality.
Do not just type nonsense for the sake of it.
Fertilizer subsidy has been slashed. Agri insurance schems have been slashed. A number of decremental changes in food subsidies/procurement programmes.
