Ran another IN vs PN & PAF Scenario.
- PN launched all their anti-ship missiles when they detected IN, IA & IAF launch. PAF too launched a significant salvo initially but were also able to rearm and launch more times.
- Pakistan had access to all Chinese satellites
- Indian initial salvo was more sophisticated this time:
IN fired at least 4 brahmos at each PN ship
IAF launched brahmos & Scalp EG at Karachi Port, Karachi & Bholari airbase
IA launched land attack brahmos at Karachi Port & refinery
- This main engagement was over in 3 rounds. So no IAF Jaguars were able to launch Harpoon as they had to takeoff from Jamnagar and reach their launch points and by that time all PN ships were sunk.
- IN Composition
SAG 1 - 1x P15A [Kolkata destroyer], 2x Talwar Class Frigate [Batch 2], 1x P17 [Shivalik Class], 1x P15 [Delhi Class], 1x Type209 [Shishumar]
SAG 2 - 1x P15A [Kolkata], 1x P15 [Delhi], 1x P28 [Kamorta], 2x Talwar [Batch 2]
CBG - 2x P15B [Vishakhapatnam destroyer], 2x P17A [Nilgiri Frigate], 1x P17 [Shivalik Class], 1x P28 [Kamorta], 1x Vikrant, 1x Scorpene [Kalvari]
Independent units - 1x Scorpene, 3x Kilo
- 3x Agosta 90B submarines were provided. One was located in middle of CBG and SAG2. Another one in front of CBG and third one in front of SAG1. Since the engagement was over in 3 rounds there was no detection or counter detections. Land attack Klub are not available with Kilo submarine in CMO.
- There were AA/BVR engagements over Gujarat border and no shootdowns on either side.
Conclusions:
- In PN/PAF first counter response, YJ12A sunk 1x Talwar frigate from SAG1. In my observation Barak8 is critical, there was only 1 Barak8/MRSAM equipped ship in this SAG. It was located a bit too far towards the right of this sunk ship in the group and could not intercept a couple of YJ12As that struck. I think each SAG requires at least 2 MRSAM equipped ships. More MRSAM ships that can be added to CBG and SAG the better it is.
- PAF losses were on ground when Pasni and Karachi airbases were hit. Same with P3 at Karachi.
- Some of the Harbah anti-ship missiles had to be engaged with CIWS [AK630]
- Almost 70-75% of Pakistan missile attacks were focused on CBG. Rest were on SAG1 with SAG2 only facing minimal threat as it was located opposite Gwadar [far from Karachi]. In this scenario only F16s were based in Pasni.
- SAG-1 ran out of Barak-8s and after a ship was sunk I launched all remaining brahmos and withdrew this group. There was 1 attack on the retreating group with 2x CM400 but they were intercepted with Shtil SAM. CBG also expended more than 80% of Barak-8s.
- 16x Babur were fired on Jamnagar refinery. Refinery escaped unharmed with point defense provided by Spyder and L-70 AD guns which took down all missiles.
- Karachi port/base destroyed with brahmos
- Karachi refinery destroyed with brahmos
- Ormara naval base/pier damaged with Rampage hits
- PN Surface fleet all sunk with brahmos
- Karachi JY-27 radar destroyed with brahmos
- Karachi HQ-9B destroyed with brahmos & Rampage

- Pasni airbase damaged with Rampage
