Sir we need to be full on engine side.
Engine is backbone of any fighter plane, not having our own engine, will derail our program any time.
They've been moved to another place. Why RWR is missing on the 3 MK1A's in above picture while the lone dual seater MK1 has it?
Aero India: LA5037 Appeared in Tipnis Grey, It means atleast 5 MK1A airframes + 4~ trainers are awaiting for engine and delivery.

Something to do with " insurance".Why cant HAL using backup engines. Existing engines can be maintained, i think that much understanding/technology we have to maintain existing engines.
Than until we dont have engines, we have a problem.Something to do with " insurance".
Like car insurance, airforce like insurance for their fighters
Refer to the appropriate thread.Any outcome regarding Tejas Crash?
IAF will eventually run out of aircrafts to crash, hence nobody can shootdown their aircrafts and claim victory!

Will the Tejas Mk 1A positively have the Indian developed new AESA radar?
Just to be extra sure... It is not LA5043 the serial number but actual orders from 43 onwards of 83 mk1a that onwards will have UTTAM GaAs. right??From 40th aircraft it will have uttam aesa radar.
Most probably 43 planes will have uttam. Remaining elta.
If second order goes which is 97. Then we have 100+ aircrafts with uttam
32+40~, so around LA5072~ we will start getting Uttam equipped Tejas.Just to be extra sure... It is not LA5043 the serial number but actual orders from 43 onwards of 83 mk1a that onwards will have UTTAM GaAs. right??
According to the Air Chief Marshal, the Tejas Mk1A is not fully ready yet. The initial batch of aircraft being delivered features improvements over the Tejas Mk1 but does not yet include all the enhancements initially planned for the Mk1A.

Just want excuses, import lobby. Govt also doing right, not coming under pressure. Can they elucidate what exactly the MK1A lacks now? So much of time for refinement and its still not upto standards?
