ADA Tejas Mark-II/Medium Weight Fighter

Just a quetion
How will our tejas mk2 compare with J10C and F16 block52
MK2 sits a little low in terms of endurance and payload compare to both, but Block 52 doesn't even have AESA radar. And not much info about J10C leaks out of China, so we don't know it's engine performance, crash rate, availability rate etc. It has AESA radar, but Chinese and export tier.

Block 70 has AESA radar.

Why doesnt our tejas mk1a use missile racks for bvr missiles such as jf 17 or fa50?

Not enough space for dual pylon in center because we did not make wvr pylon on Tejas wingtips

An article from defence.in that suggests to me that the sticking points in the F414 TOT licence production. deal have been resolved.

To me a deal by the end of the year looks on track (as GE's CEO predicted early this year). Production from 2028/2029 could follow, Indian bureaucracy allowing.

GOI should have funded an FTB decades ago. Nothing stops them doing that now.

I remember the flying tests of Kaveri15 years ago. I believe it was a very costly exercise, at the end of which India did not have its own FTB, so would have to pay again and again for any future engine testing. Same thing with wind tunnel testing - I think that India just had Mk2 inlets tested in a French wind tunnel.
One of those rare occasions IDRW has come up with a credible article.

On topic we should have a Kaveri TF of an unknown nomenclature ( as of now ) ready with AFB for testing by late 2025 or early 2026.

Hopefully the imbroglio over the FTB will be resolved soon for this new iteration will either be tested in Russia or France on their FTB.

Have DRDO/HAL released any info regarding progress on Mk2 recently? Is the design changing in view of recent wind tunnel testing in France or were the tests to confirm the existing design?
