Also like beside the engineer nozzles. They've changed the fairings share to round.

Dayum didn't realise cannards overlap with wings so much.

Yup almost 30% of the canards. They're basically raised Levcons, with the sole purpose of increasing lift & in-turn slow speed handling.

If it were navalised instead of Mark1 it could have worked.

MWF this year only, AMCA to will put in 26. Why'd it take 10 years of testing?! 😑

All the tech for tejas mk2 is already here.
For amca lots of tech can take upto 2033 to develop and then 2035 to test and certify.

Amca's initial prototypes will be flight capable airframes only with some lru's.
Tejas mk2 protypes will be fully developed fighter jets.

ADA a few years ago claimed MWF's metal cutting would commence in 2020-21 with the first prototype to be rolled out in 2021-22. I did intern at a PSU during my bachelors and with the level of accountability at these institutions, it's not surprising for a project to take this long

Tejas mk2's funding was choked by GoI due to engine uncertainty. Before this there was also a long delay in ccs clearance for the jet, really no fault of Hal in all these.
