Arihant Class Nuclear Ballistic Missile Submarines

This article says that the submarine is 75% indigenous content. How many critical components can be manufactured in India? 75% is pretty freaking bad IMO for a weapon such as a nuclear submarine...
Arihant class submarines are nothing but extended and modified kilo class submarine , since these were designed in 90s, indigenous content is limited, due to limited know how back then, initially even hulls were made from imported russian analog of hy-80 steel, not surprisng sice arihant class is our first submarine of any kind, though with times percentage of indigenious components have incresed future nuclear submarines like p77 class will have over 97% indigenious content.

Analysis of the few photograph available confirm that some aspects of Arihant bear a strong resemblance to the Kilo Class. The upper sonar dome on top of the bow and many aspects of the sail are visually identical. And the hull diameter appears to match. In essence, the forward hull and sail are essentially similar to the Kilo Class. This makes some sense as India purchased 10 Kilos which are known as the Sindhughosh Class in service.

Overall the arrangement of the system is the same as the Russian systems originally fitted to the Kilo. However the intercept sonars in the trailing edge of the sail are arranged one above the other. This may explain the different shape of the sonar window seen there on the Arihant.
One visible difference between the bow on Arihant and the Kilo Class is the torpedo tube arrangement. Arihant’s are set lower. This indicates some internal differences and confirms that it is not literally a Kilo hull.

Please mate no one has seen complete hull of arihant. Arihant is bigger than kilo. Above are speculations based on fant art and grain pictures so take such assessment with grain of salt. It may resemble Russian submarines coz designer was russian, but calling it stretched kilo is laughable.
