Why? What's the reasoning behind your opinion of the US being behind a conspiracy compare to the Chinese? Doesn't your statement make far more sense from a Chinese POV than a US POV? Indian military is facing the Chinese, not the Americans.

Answer was in my post itself.
A hostile BD will force India to push more forces in NE and Eastern India. China has more angles going on there in forms of NE terrorist groups. BD situation may actually prove costly for those groups as Indian forces would become even more alert with more funding for those borders. Neither Chinese army nor its unnamed intelligence agencies will like that.

Also, traditionally ISI had more penetration in BD through the radicals. China has never been very astute in dealing with Islamists. It is more of a game well known to CIA and its brother ISI. Coupled with how Dhruv Tatti to Deshbhakt like channels got active on behalf of anti-Hasina protests, it seems eerily similar to what happened in Ukraine and also during the Arab Springs. Also USA has been actively trying to pull Hasina down since before this year's election in BD. SO much so Hasina officially lodged complaint regarding USA's criticism of BD Democracy and India too piped in. Also, Hasina has been cozying up with China lately and was doing a very tricky dance of balancing relationship both with China and India.

So, it is out and out US game.

India can't interven militarily now if we want to be because of monsoon season in Indian subcontinent .Don't forget gen manekshaw .We shall take action only after situation is in our favour.

India can't intervene on domestic matter so f foreign nation unless invited by its legitimate government. Period.

It has nothing to do with monsoon.

India is not USA or even France. Indian people themselves will get fatigued if India starts bleeding money in saving asses of ungrateful biatches. We did it once. learnt the lesson. All is there to say now is 'no, thanks.'. The most India can and should do is if the violence rises too much, let a majority hindu province like Chattagram request assistance from India and India does what it should have done in 1971, and makes an independent self-governed Chattagram under protection of India.

My ancestral place Kumilla where the violence is raging hot now, is unsalvageable, just as most other places. But, Chattagram can be and should be saved, and assisted in breaking away from Islamist BD.

But of course, always for humanity's sake.

Bangladesh as of now may turn hostile to India. If Indian forces capture any land or interfere overtly, Bangladesh will turn hostile.

Another point of contention here is how many people will believe it's the US behind all of this. There's no rationale for the US to interfere in Bangladesh to screw India. If they want to tie up India, there's a convenient former tool of theirs, Pakistan. Pump a few billion and they are ready to go.

No, it's most certainly the Chinese if there's any foreign interference. They have been the ones turning India's neighborhood against India. It started with Nepal in 2015, then Sri Lanka in 2016, and Maldives in 2018. They have tried turning Bhutan against India since the Dokhlam standoff ended. Doesn't it make obvious sense it's the Chinese more than anyone else who are the likely culprits of a foreign conspiracy here?

Hasina was on good terms with China. Chinese in general prefer stability for their investments and for that Hasina was a pretty good bet.

She even went to China last month to sign various agreements. There is little reason for them to throw her out or engage in some coup against her.

from economics point of view, even sri lanka was doing well, yet there was tumoil.

as far as BD is concerned, firstly they were faking their numbers, and secondly there is a concept called economic complexity index. economic activity has to be broad based, not just riding on one or two sectors. if BD removes textiles from their picture, what do they have ? nothing.

whatever the theoretical strategies being imagined, economy is non-negotiable. second order effect on the ground are not good.

What seems to be given no importance here is to build economic resilience. Case in point...
