Bangladesh basically showed us the middle finger on our concerns.
We should not engage with them anymore in any form untill Trump govt. comes in power.
Ah but resident forum walas and certain elements in the govt would disagree.
You see India and a certain amount of people in India are following a top to bottom approach and as “dhoti shivering” it may sound this will defined blow up on our faces very very badly.
Now do we manage to contain the fallout for when this happens or we fail like many other nations is a different question altogether but what i do know is that it will happen based on current trends.
The idea that India needs to reach a certain magic economic number like 5 or 10 trillion is extremely stupid.
Countries successful countries atleast follow not a top to bottom or bottom to top approach but rather a layered approach where economy military and internal security go hand in hand.
Recently we saw a news article about a massive RDX bust in NE. That is one consignment caught out of 100 beings made.
We see para military organisations we see sophisticated weapons we see drones and we see certain political elements including the CM make direct or indirect references to a bigger plan at play like the christian state hasina talked about.
How do we respond to this?
Oh this is the usual we have faced worse this is how NE operates its fine.
These points are true but things are not black and white 2 things can be right at the same time.
You stop them once they improve they improvise they change demographics they expand their reach they take out allies of the boars they adapt. Have we adapted? The answer is a sound no.
Is India prepared for a mass apprising of various christian outfits backed with popular civilian support as we saw recently?
Is India countering the ejection of India friendly tribes like meitei who make offer a sort bulkwark in NE.
Is India prepared for a combined muslim christian revolt in NE Assam and western Bengali regions. Maybe yes maybe no but ask yourself this how many civilians how many proxies and illegals will the govt bulldoze before international sanctions pressure and certain collapse in the NE region. One can assume that the govt and army will just raze everything to the ground but that is not how it works when demography is against you.
Demography is destiny.
If India does not capitalise on the bangladeshi situation post January rest assured we are jeopardising our own survival.
Every country thinks they have it under control until they dont please remember that. Being realistic and responsible is the best way to come out on top.
