either way, beedis by the path they have chosen to take, have made themselves one of the playgrounds of cold war 2.0.
whatever our fellows plan to do, will have to take these factors into account, what ever $hit show that is being planned for beedis by the big powers, gormint also has to ensure our people do not get drenched too much in their $hit.
we are focussing on what west is saying or doing based on news, hardly any news is coming out on what chini are doing within BD. obviously they too will make their moves to protect their interests.
maldives and SL are islands. BD and PAK have land borders, how differently it will play out? we don't know.
if BD had gone thru a straight forward political transition like pak, there would have been fewer variables. technically current regime in BD is neither accountable/responsible, simply because regime change didn't happen thru a democratic process in a constitutional democracy. since an opening has been made, all sorts of plans by various interest groups will be put in motion to take advantage of the situation, all of them will try to establish their positions before dust settles down.
