#Islamist mobs attack yet another shrine in #Bangladesh: Pir Rahim Shah Mazaar Sharif in Dinajpur's Ghoraghat was vandalised and set on fire last night by Islamists under the banner of 'Siratul Mustakim Council'. This takes the total no. of shrines attacked since Aug 2024 to at least 81.
The mob's behaviour has been so aggressive that for four straight hours (and counting), police have been unable to approach the crime scene. The attack took place right after a procession of #Islamists armed with sticks protested the shrine's annual urs festival.
