Burnaby has long since been the district of choice for NDP leadership to run from, being that it is the safest NDP seat in Canada : Entire motto of Burnaby is ' we are/used to be the affordable suburb city of vancouver, where all the hard working middle class without rich daddies/husbands live in the greater vancouver area' and pretty much everyone there is in trades/unionized jobs/health sector etc. and **LOVE** anyone who goes ' we need more unions, hare krishna hare union, hare krishna, hare unions'.
WHICH IS WHY JAGGU BHAI RAN FROM BURNABY , just as JACK LEYTON (the actual NDP social democrat who built the party, then died) ran from and tooled everyone, coz if you do the NDP naaraa of 'hare krishna, hare unions, hare rama, hare benefits, hare hare' , you auto win BBY for federal elections.
No questions asked,hasn't been asked for 20+ years.

And if Jaggu bhai loses his seat/loses BBY, that will be a catastrophic blow to NDP - this would be like TMC losing kolkata south/bhajeepav losing like somnath seat in gujjuland or something crazy bad for the party, not just him.

NDP will benefit from the swing/bounce from the Libs. There are many libs who are p*ssed at Castro Jr but will never vote Conservative.
