What's happening to the CCP government ? @rockdog

You've the vice chairman of the CMC who's missing for more than a month , likely imprisoned facing trail .

News reports indicate this is only the second instance of an uniformed member of the CMC to be sacked from his post in 60 years.

Earlier we had the sorry case of the Defence Minister Li Shangfu being sacked ostensibly for corruption last year . Prior to that it was the newly appointed Foreign Minister Qin Gang who disappeared from public view.

We've actually lost count of all such ministers & senior officials disappearing from public view in China. Sincerely hope all these people are alive.

Sometimes you need to be more patient on watching. It will waste less time to poke me, and save resource of forum.

Wow! Never knew you screen shot my posts from DFI. Somehow I find this creepy especially since the site has gone.

Are we to understand this entire site is cloned too like the previous one ? 😳😳

Back on topic there were 4 names given there of which only 1 has been found to be alive? What about the rest?

Besides are you saying it's normal behavior to suddenly disappear or be disappeared? Must be normal in Zhongghuo not in the free world

Ah, it's from this site is it? For a moment I was under the impression MSS gave the previous site & its members much more respect than they deserved .

After all we're ordinary people indulging in our passion for all things defence geo political, geo strategy, etc out here & previously with DFI, totally unassociated with any government body unlike you .

In fact i feel very boring you always poke me, like a harassment.

You mean it's like Chinese cos & India where you don't get your way, then you complain India's a bad place to do business, there's public defecation, cities are filthy, people have no civic sense nor discipline etc while you still shamelessly lurk around here for 20 years & Chinese cos do the same for there's money to be made & taxes to be evaded.

I had similar feeliing like randombully to you.

He's a bachelor just like his father before him & his grand father before his father. It's a family trait going back several generations. Do you & your ancestors share similar traits?

100 generals sacked during the 12 + years Xi has been in power including some of his closest supporters & hand picked men .

Apparently the incumbent to the post of Vice Chairman of the CCP & PRC Central Military Commission ( CMC ) He Weidong , which is one of the 2 posts of VCs of the CCP & PRC CMC ( the incumbent usually holds both the party & government posts simultaneously ) , has not been seen in public since April 2025 with FT reporting he's been arrested for corruption.

Xi Jinping is the Chairman of this body which means his 2 deputies would obviously be his own loyalists . In the past the paramount leader be it Mao or Deng or Jiang Zemin or Hu Jintao - Xi's predecessor have all held this post apart from their posts in the party & political structure , be it the General Secretary of the Party along with the President of the PRC or on those lines .

Deng quit all party & political posts but retained this post till he quit politics altogether. Ditto for his successor Jiang Zemin. The idea is to keep an eye of their successors & protect their own privileges apart from their proteges in the system.

Lt Gen Raj Shukla comes across as a street smart general who knows how to get the job done with the tools at his disposal . He also comes across as someone down to earth rather than one who inhabits ivory towers or in his own words indulges in " high brow analysis . "

Plenty of other insights into the Paxtan China BD Turkey nexus shaping up & how it will affect India going forward. Let me also confess to being witness to the first time any general or senior member of the armed forces - serving or retired , has ever described our present security situation as grim explicitly .

This podcast is well worth the time spent. @ezsasa ; @concard et al

I don't know anything about their generals. But if being in a authoritarian country is anything to go by especially when you are at the top, I guess you can't stop looking over your shoulder even for a day. Something is not right about the way they changed so many men during our stand off in Galwan. Their propaganda videos even showed their soldiers getting oxygen in quarters made for them. Is it because they were not able to acclimitize properly? But it is not just soldiers they changed, even their top generals of Western command if I am right. And also their supreme leader doesn't seem very comfortable traveling outside China for some reason. What am I missing about their political struggles?
