Chinese Economy Watch

The 'China Hydrogen Energy Development Report (2023)' is released. Science and Technology Daily Beijing, July 25th (Reporter Lu Chengkuan). On July 25th, it was reported that at the finals of the 2024 Hydrogen Technology Specialized Entrepreneurship Competition organized by the China Hydrogen Energy Alliance and the Hydrogen Technology Specialized Entrepreneurship Industry Conference, the Science and Technology Bureau of the National Energy Administration issued the 'China Hydrogen Energy Development Report (2023)' (referred to as the 'Development Report' below). The 'Development Report' focuses on the development of technology and industry at home and abroad, systematically reviews the current status of the hydrogen energy industry in 2023, and looks into the development of China's hydrogen energy industry in 2024. The 'Development Report' points out that in 2023, China's hydrogen energy industry made progress while maintaining stability, adhered to innovation-driven development, accelerated the construction of the hydrogen energy innovation system, continuously improved the foundational institutional system for industrial development, and made positive contributions to building a clean, low-carbon, safe, and efficient energy system. The report further indicates that in terms of global hydrogen energy development, the hydrogen energy industry development strategy is constantly updated, hydrogen energy production continues to grow, international hydrogen energy trade is accelerating deployment, international hydrogen energy prices are continuously decreasing, diverse scenario pilots are accelerating, and key core equipment iterations are speeding up. Regarding China's hydrogen energy development, various regions have successively issued guidelines for hydrogen energy, the supply and demand scale of hydrogen energy remains stable, international cooperation models are accelerating exploration, the clean supply system is gradually improving, diverse applications are accelerating innovative development, and the level of independent research and development has improved significantly. According to the 'Development Report', China's overall hydrogen energy scale remains stable, and the trend of industrial agglomeration effects is highlighted. As of the end of 2023, the national hydrogen production capacity exceeds 49 million tons/year, with production exceeding 35 million tons, both growing by approximately 2.3% year-on-year, mainly used as intermediate raw materials in industrial processes such as synthetic ammonia, methanol, and refining. Coal-to-hydrogen, natural gas-to-hydrogen, and industrial by-product hydrogen are still the main sources of hydrogen supply in China, while electrolysis of water for hydrogen is steadily developing, with a production capacity of 450,000 tons/year and a production output of approximately 300,000 tons. Furthermore, the 'Development Report' points out that in 2024, China's hydrogen energy industry needs to strengthen policy guidance, promote healthy and orderly development of the industry, reinforce basic research, enhance the level of key core technologies, intensify demonstration and promotion, systematically advance diversified industrialization, strengthen cooperation, empower the high-quality development of the industry chain, gradually create new production forces in the energy field, and promote hydrogen energy to play a positive role in supporting the transformation of the energy structure. It is reported that the 'Development Report' was jointly compiled by the Science and Technology Bureau of the National Energy Administration, together with the Beijing National Hydrogen Association Hydrogen Energy Technology Research Institute, relevant industry organizations, and experts.

Hey, Mexican brother, nice to see what Mexican engineers are doing.
But I just want to know if this thread is allowed to publish posts without Chinese content.
I don't want to cause too much controversy, I would like to get more clear forum rules.

@SKC
what up? you claim the best super computer is Chinese, Intel differs and why I can not say you super has international content or I can not say the top IA super computer has design from Intel`s development center from Guadalaja or what you pretend to say you are the only one who thinks or who can do things?.

So then let us forbid things such as China is the top of the world, the most powerful from the world is Chinese, then if you stop boasting just do not say top of the world but you can not you came to boast by declaring China has the top supercomputer can you?

For perspective these are the "quality issues" Apple India is facing which is supposed to have resulted in production shifting back to China.

Ever heard of low yield rates of cell phones ? What's it supposed to mean ? Or poor hygiene affecting quality of phones ? If this is not propaganda , I don't know what is .

Today Foxconn unveiled this

Apparently wumaos can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that their opponent isn't a stagflated failed banana republic despite not being rich.

India exports for 2022 was $778.55B, a 14.87% increase from 2021. India exports for 2021 was $677.77B, a 35.63% increase from 2020. India exports for 2020 was $499.73B, a 5.58% decline from 2019. India exports for 2019 was $529.25B, a 1.74% decline from 2018.

China's export growth rate in June 2024 was 8.61%, which is higher than the long-term average of 7.87%. This is the largest percentage gain since March 2023 and was higher than the 8% forecast by economists in a Reuters poll. The growth is partly due to a lower base in the same month last year, when China reported a 7.5% decline.

Indian exports are growing 2x faster than China

Good for India, like Vietnam along with rapid export growth, the import from China also increased, since the core components are depended on China.

In the first quarter of 2024, the import and export value between Vietnam and China grossed US$43.6 billion. Notably, in the quarter, Vietnam suffered a trade deficit of US$17.4 billion from China, a sharp increase from US$11.67 billion seen in the same period of 2023.

Contrary to what you say,

This is an American newspaper and an American expert bragging about Chinese supercomputers.

The Chinese said nothing:)

China exports about 3.5T per year.

It's like the 100-meter dash world record, which is hard to improve on.

But the types of goods being exported are constantly expanding,

Those low-value-added and low-technology goods have been partially transferred to Southeast Asia and other countries

China reports robust growth in overseas investment in H1

(Xinhua) 09:12, July 26, 2024
BEIJING, July 25 (Xinhua) -- China reported steady growth in overseas investment in the first half (H1) of 2024, official data showed Thursday, indicating the country's broadened engagement in cooperation on the global market.

China's non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) increased 16.6 percent year on year to 72.62 billion U.S. dollars in the first six months of the year, data from the Ministry of Commerce showed.

That growth rate was higher than the 12.5 percent increase recorded in the first quarter.

During the first six months, cooperation under the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) framework gained steam as ODI in countries participating in the BRI surged 9.2 percent year on year to 15.46 billion U.S. dollars.

The turnover of contracted overseas projects amounted to 72.25 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.2 percent, and the value of new contracts surged 22 percent to 115.5 billion U.S. dollars.

To facilitate Chinese investment in foreign countries and regions, a regulation on the contracting of overseas projects was issued by the ministry and took effect on July 1 this year. It will streamline procedures for relevant businesses.

then do not post it here, let him bragg somewhere else do not become his accomplice, but you know the true even if you deny it and feign innocence.

A good advice is this is a forum we discuss news with difference sources, get use to it, we are not going to be fed CCP propaganda

Is this on account of poor production quality in India or because you've kicked Foxconn out of China that this space has been created for one giga sized assembler like BYD ?

Do you think everyone out here is a low IQ fool like that chut who keeps liking your equally low IQ propaganda ?

Not a single news outlet of worth except Chinese propaganda outlets like Gizmo China & other such CCP associated rags are reporting this.

Reporting your propaganda to the moderators here.
