The situation in India is pretty like Africa, 80% share belong to Chinese brands, the difference is in Africa, Transsion, the single group owned around 40% share.

The Chinese firm Transsion Holdings is most well-known for smartphones only sold in African countries, including brand names Tecno, Itel and Infinix. Due to these brands, in the third quarter of 2023, Transsion surpassed Vivo to claim the fifth spot globally in mobile phone shipments, with its global market share reaching 8.6% and an African market share of around 40%.

I don't think you understand what's written there or in my tweet or as usual you think we don't understand . The issue isn't commercial or industrial enterprises coming up in China , it was of start ups .

Further more the tweet I put out clearly states there's been a huge drop in the number of start ups since 2020 & you come up with this list of Byte Dance , Shein etc . Have these start ups commenced operations between 2020-24 ?

China's operating railway hits 160,000 km

(Xinhua) 15:33, September 14, 2024
GUANGZHOU, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- The total length of operational rail tracks in China surpassed 160,000 km on Saturday, with the inauguration of a section linking two cities in Guangdong Province, south China.

On Saturday, a high-speed train departed from Meizhou to the provincial capital of Guangzhou, marking the launch of the new route. The new section is part of the Longyan-Longchuan High-Speed Railway, which connects Fujian and Guangdong provinces, spanning a total of 290 kilometers.

"The opening of this new high-speed railway (HSR) line will significantly shorten travel time between eastern Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta region," said Ren Yongshuang, a train conductor from China Railway Guangzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd.

According to China State Railway Group Co., Ltd., the operating mileage of China's HSR has reached 46,000 kilometers, ranking first in the world and surpassing the combined total of all other countries' HSR networks.

China's railway network now serves a vast portion of the country's urban areas, covering 99 percent of cities with populations over 200,000, while HSR serves 96 percent of cities with more than 500,000 residents.

"China's railways have experienced a remarkable transformation, excelling in areas such as passenger and freight transport, technological innovation, environmental practices and safety," said Li Jianqiang, a senior engineer at China Railway Economic and Planning Research Institute. "This progress represents a new milestone in the development of China's railway system."

China's future is screwed. Any country which extends the retirement age of its citizens is basically facing a bleak future & a failing economy. If CCP is taking such steps today it means the situation is far worse than what CCP released statistics show or even how western think tanks have analysed this phenomenon.

How many years will it take India to catch up with China?

All depends on when great helmsman 2.0 decides to take Taiwan. CCP's been telling us for a long time Asia isn't big enough for both of us . We finally agreed with the CCP in 2020.

I believe I gave you an estimate. By 2027; India’s growth in nominal value will be larger than China.

In 2004 when first wave of ”India 2.0” and “ will catch up China” the GDP gap was only 2.5x now it's 6 times. At that time both entity were equal on technical level.

Now lots of Indian intermediate products are dependent on China.

China has similar life expediency as USA and EU, but 8 to 10 yrs early of retirement.

Since the current requirement rule made 40 yrs ago, and people live 15 yrs longer than 40 yrs ago.

Saving more human resources is quite reasonable.

facotors woll overtake the US as well and also ChIfna. India has larger population, so its growth velocity will be sustainable for several decades while US and China will start shrinking.

Economics is quite complicated system, single facotor like population won't kill all.

I heard there will be 1 Billion people as Hot Weather Refugees in Subcontinent in next 20 yrs. If i follow ur logic, we won't worry about India, since lack of air conditioner and 49.5 degree will let us feel save.

lol, so why was India largest economy in the world for 1700 years then? The same lack of AC applied back then as well.

This survived Indian brand, still largely dependent on Chinese supply chain and 5G IPs on core tech. If it uses Unisoc SoC, which which almost total tech approach uses UniSOC solution.
