Chinese research is top notch these days. Still doesn’t address structural demographic problems. It's Open Source! By a local Quantum trade team.

The trope that Chinese stuff is cheap and breaks often shouldn’t be something India should continue believing in.
That being said, all of these achievements are tangible and accessible to India. China is attempting to portray itself as 10 foot China man. In fact the microfilm with 64,000 states can surpass the capability through a novel path that is different than US or China.

You can’t sustain growth without consumers. India’s urbanization is closer to 70% now. Only areas larger than 400 people per sq km are considered urban in India. As per this definition, I doubt more than 20% of China is urban.Population in undeveloped region like your Bihar and our Gansu province, those popluation who were not involed into the indutrilization, actually have no good impact on development, even they are counted as $1000 per GDP or $8000 per GDP respectively.
Considering India urbanization rate is 36% and China is 66%, China still have more "valid" population.
You also should notice that, Chinese working population from 2018 actually started to decline, but thanks to automation and productivity growth, Chinese manufacture GDP growth 30% after 2019.
You might need to get rid of the mindset like "Becoz Point A, China would lose all" narratives ... Such theory i have witnessed from 2004 in old old Indian forum when they talked about Chinese banking system at that time.
"Chinese stuff is cheap" still true, "break away" not true. Over 95% of Tesla and Apple phone parts are made in China.Chinese research is top notch these days. Still doesn’t address structural demographic problems.
