Capabilities of NSG was never a question, the delay in flushing these terrorists out is solely bc of org fu*k ups and govt decisions, having no SWAT unit locally, aircraft availability delaying NSG's deployment etc. No wonder both Israel and US offered to send in their SOF units and we actually accepted after realizing it's much more sophisticated than we had thought

Imagine the humiliation for a country of our size/economy if an external SOF team had to be roped in to tackle such situations

While regional hubs significantly improve deployment times along with Mumbai Force-1, what if an attack takes place in a city with no NSG presence like Vizag or Cochin (both cities have Marcos presence similar to Mumbai during 26/11). Will Marcos take over the op or wait for the central & state entities to decide if NSG will be flown in!

I'm a bit hazy on this but I believe Pathankot also had the issue of who (IA vs NSG) should be undertaking the op and I still don't think there's a centralized body (JSOC or SOCOM) that can coordinate and oversee such attacks

Well. In the name of budget we does not spend an dime on critical things. Most of them were spend on Annadatas, revdi lovers.

Also our city list is getting bigger. Need an full fledge force.
