Rafale F5 is expected to arrive by 2030, by which time the Tejas Mk2 will also be in production. Rafales currently cannot integrate Indian, Israeli, or Russian weapon systems. While France might agree to share source codes with India, it is unlikely to do so with Russia or Israel. One potential solution is to replace the French avionics in the Rafales with Indian systems, which would enable India to utilize the aircraft to its full potential.

Just because the Indian Air Force has a budget ten times larger than that of the Pakistan Air Force doesn’t mean its fleet will be ten times bigger. The aircraft will certainly be more advanced and expensive, but the size of the fleet is determined by the airspace India needs to defend. Btw Indian Army’s military vehicle fleet is twelve times larger than Pakistan’s and is the second largest in the world, next only to that of the United States.

France won’t share source codes with Israel either. In fact, France is reluctant to share them even with India—so sharing with Israel or Russia is completely out of question.

I'm sure it was already imagined, but that means that Dassault deliver a brand new computer, with Intel I9, 32 GB RAM, RTX 5090... and absolutely no software, not even a DOS....
That means for exemple that all the anechoic chamber tests are to be made twice. The sensor fusion is to be made by india. the data bases are empty.
