I Pray this becomes successful and there is no (((sabotage))) like a sub sinking because AIP exploded or some sht.

I was reading on India Today copy from August 2023 and in that there was a whole spread of some (((committee))) being established to (((revamp))) DRDO with a greater focus on the (((Private Sector))), dalals everywhere seems to be gunning for the poor DRDO walas

Full spread read like a hit-piece against DRDO with just 2-3 lines about the late Parrikar roasting the Genrols over their ever changing specs and "Marvel Comics" style demands from deshi equipment.

DRDO and HAL/ADA should be made umbrella agencies for research and research only and should hire pvt firms to do manufacturing job for them.
And both need to expand massively. There is no shortcut/TONTi for good old research

It's happening now, you have WhAp( Tata, Mahindra ) and ATAGS( Tata, Kalyani ) as the more prominent pilot projects but there may be others also.

They are/were only doing research + prototype development, actual manufacturing in the past was undertaken by other DPSU because private sector cowards didn't want to like BEL, BDL or those OFBs

Pvt industries work on profit and loss basis. No one wants to loose money. Make things profitable and they will flock to your door asking for whatever you want
Expansion of research agencies are not happening

At this point I am blackpilled. Maybe we should seek help of Taliban to train in guerilla warfare to wear out much technologically superior army.
