Failed Terrorist State of Pakistan: Idiotic Musings

Most of their foods are derivatives
All are*

They do not have a history pre 1947 to originate something. Effectively, all and not just most dishes of Pakistan are derivatives of those in other countries. So, are their traditions, customs, clothing, language and everything else.
but they've failed to put Pakistani identity on it
There is no Pakistani identity.
Pakistan is a version of Islamic Indian state. That was their identity given by Jinnah.

Biriyani is also a Mughal food but we've successfully copyrighted it.

Biryani was present in Deccan far before existence of Mughals. It is as much mughal origin as much IVC belongs to Pakistan.

Indians have even monopolised certain Afghani dishes.
Again there were no Afghanis before Durran. Their dishes essentially derivative of Indian Persian foods, difficult to differentiate.

Their religion will always supersede their identity. You can't own anything if you're deprived of identity. It doesn't need much work from our side.
Religion is their only identity.

Nonetheless, it's a shame that whenever someone talks about Bengali food outside India, people look at Bangladesh.
That again is something new to ears. I haven't ever heard Bengali food being associated to Bangladesh before India anywhere outside India either unless it's a group of Bangladeshi boys.

Thankfully the perception of Bangladesh is changing to Pakistan.
Bangladesh does not have a perception. In mainstream, it is as relevant to people around world as Nepal or Sri Lanka. Lesser people in world know about existence of Bangladesh than those who don't.

Nor perception of being a radical or liberal state has anything to do with identity. India regardless of a democratic or theocratic or military or fascist rules will hold Indian identity alone. And Bangladesh & Pakistan won't at all.

Indian subcontinent is not East Asia where states of Nippon and Goryeo have co existed for centuries with Zhongguo. Indian nationalism was a unified movement centuries ago, and the movement what created Pakistan/Bangladesh didn't have any appeal except religious indoctrination, and off course, no national identity.

It was always a caliphate project which failed miserably and their inferiority complex ridden newer generations are searching new identities.
