That's what the tweet I linked is suggesting too in an indirect manner. I've attached a previous post in the same message of a conversation.Possibly, but any tech breakthrough would have trickled to Kaveri Dry and we would have seen improvement - given that's the only engine which occasionally breathes rarified air of russia - my guess they would have loved to validate newly developed tech/materials as much as feasible in engine?
There it's made clear that VCE would be futile to pursue if we lack the materials to withstand extremely high temperatures of say ~ 1700°C.
The linked tweet also suggested some work's already been carried out before GTRE approached CEMILAC .
I'm trying to connect the dots here.
